One of my friends, being part of Nirma University, brief me about the process. So, here is what he has to say about the Nirma University (Ahmedabad) Transcript Process.

Prior to anything, the campus of Nirma University is situated in Ahmedabad, the postal address of which is Nirma, Sarkhej: Gandhinagar Highway, Gota, Ahmedabad, Gujarat - 382481.

• There have been no verification charges for the institute. However, in case you want to obtain more than just 1 copy, then you might as well have to pay charges of about Rs. 500.
• There is also no online process seen even until today from the institute. You can, however, either visit the campus whenever necessary or you can authorize an individual on your behalf and send with them the required documents needed by the institute.
• Having said that, the required documents are Degree Evidence, Mark Sheets, Transcripts, WES (or/and) IQAS form and Syllabus (optional criteria).
• After that, you can obtain the transcript in about a weeks’ time.
• Although, they are seen not to courier documents directly. Thus, leaving you the choice of requesting them on the same or collecting and following necessary steps to courier it on your own.
• Besides, you can also call at the number provided evidently by any sources for needing any important update or guide.

It is quite a tedious job if he had not physically been present at the university. However, he also says that he received a prompt email response from the team whenever he inquired about the status.

One of my friends studied at Nirma University. According to him, the location would not really matter as Nirma University provides the service of transportation via a bus that covers the entire city of Ahmedabad.

• Check the availability for in-campus hostels first. This would be possible if you have a master's degree.
• If not, you can always have another option of opting for a hostel located nearby at SG Highway. There would be students along with you living there too. So, no need to worry about that.
• However, if you are looking for some extremely top-notch locations in Ahmedabad city, my suggestions would be - Vastrapur, Judge's Bungalows, Mansi, Jodhpur, Shyamal, Navrangpura, CG Road, and Prahladnagar.
• Gandhinagar city would be a good choice too as you would have bus facilities provided by Nirma University. So, transportation would not be a problem

All in all, you have options that cover you in any situation. Therefore, you can easily opt for Nirma University, as it is a very reliable institution.

This college is quite average as compared to other colleges like BITs and NITs. If you compare this college with other state government colleges then you might find this college better.

• This college is only good for their various activities and clubs which will help you in getting industrial exposure and gaining necessary skills.
• The faculties and academics of the college are average.
• The attendance criteria of this college is also a major issue over here. You need to have 80% attendance every semester.
• In terms of placement, the Chemical branch students get 100% placement while the ECE gets around 70-80% placement.

Nirma University has good infrastructural facilities. They have two libraries, one in the technical building and one in the management building. The library consists of many journals, magazines, and newspapers. The college also has tie-ups with the British library. You can also watch online video lectures of NPTEL from the computer lab in the library.

According to the reviews online and talking to some of my friends, I got to know that both the colleges are really good. Both the colleges have lively atmosphere and culture and also, the faculties are really good and give great placements. You won’t regret joining either of two.

• Though life in Nirma is a bit tougher and more suffocating than PDPU.
• But, the Mechanical Engineering department in both the colleges are amazing.
• But yes, it is much better in Nirma as far as course curriculum and studies are concerned.
• Placements are good in both colleges.
• Top companies such as Reliance and Adani Power come to PDPU for recruitment and in Nirma companies such as Cognizant, Evosys, ZS Associates, Reliance participates.
• So overall if you are getting mechanical at Nirma then go for it.

Also, from overall view I think you should opt for Nirma. But don’t rush into your decision, think as much as you want and choose the best for you. The decision is all yours at last.

Nirma University as well as PDPU Changa University, both situated in Gujrat, provide a 4-year classroom program for the CSE branch.

Admission:

• Both of these colleges provide a BTech degree in almost all the core departments. 
• Both the colleges consider the marks of JEE and the 12th marks for creating the merit list. 
• The minimum eligibility is 60% in class 12th with a good JEE score to get admission to both of these colleges.

Placements: 

PDP University

• The computer science department is very new and it hasn't placed any students yet so the placement records for the CS department aren't provided. 
• The highest CTC package offered for Petroleum Engineering was of INR 19.20 LPA, while the average CTC package was 7 LPA.
• Many Companies visited the campus which included Aditya Birla group, PARLE, Microsoft, Pfizer, Cipla, Himalaya, Infosys, HP, LG, Agron, and many more.

Nirma University

• The highest package offered was 16 LPA while the average salary package offered was 8.2 LPA. 
• There were almost 56 participants in the campus placement with top recruiting companies like Deloitte, Amazon, JP Morgan, LinkedIn, Flipkart, Tech Mahindra, Mercedes Benz, Cleartrip, Intel, etc.

Infrastructure:

Nirma University

• The library acts as the main attraction of the infrastructure and learning center of the University to meet the needs of more than 6,000 users. 
• Because of having all the institutes on the same university campus, it is spread in a large area. 
• The hostels with different student preferences are present to cope with the need of different students.

PDPU

• Regular coaching camps are organized for all the students of PDPU. It is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). 
• Students are encouraged to participate in Sports Tournament organized by AIU.
• The facilities and infrastructure offered by the university are quite great, and the infrastructure is among the best compared to other colleges of Gujarat.

Both Nirma University and PDP University are having similar course fee structure. Nirma University has an impeccable alumni network due to its old department and has an upper edge over PDP University. So the Internship Opportunities and the exposure provided there are a bit better than the PDP University.
