Is TAPMI MSM program also related to marketing or it's just sales?
Sales are the only focus of the PGDM-Marketing & Sales Management Programme at TAPMI. The program must be called MSM, not merely PGDM-Sales, according to AICTE regulations.
The program started in the 2019–2020 academic year. It seeks to give sales enthusiasts the tools they need to take on managerial responsibilities in the field of sales across numerous economic sectors.
In the age of information symmetry, where customers are more knowledgeable about the goods and services available and more demanding than ever, sales skills are an absolute necessity. TAPMI has created a complex course to address the rising demand for sales managers.
Following the conclusion of a year, internships are only available for two months for the other programs (PGDM-core, BKFS, and HR). However, the PGDM-MSM offers an internship program that lasts for up to six months. TAMPI has a proven track record of luring businesses from a wide range of industries, including FMCG, durables, retail, banking, and B2B sectors that offer sales management roles for final placements. TAPMI has started the program using this infrastructure.

Which would be a wise decision for a management course: TAPMI or MISB Bocconi (say, with 30% scholarship)? I’m interested in specializing in Operations.
TAPMI is considered a great place for students who are interested in IT Domain but there are not many companies that specifically come for operations roles. MISB Bocconi on the other hand is a great place for exposure and has a location advantage but it’s still not worth the money one pays for the course. So given a choice between these two colleges, TAPMI would be a better option.
Where does Great Lakes and TAPMI fit in the hierarchy of MBA colleges in India?
There are a lot of different rankings given to B-schools by different organizations such as NIRF, India Today. Great Lakes is currently ranked 31st and TAPMI is ranked 38th.

What are TAPMI hostel food varieties?
TAPMI celebrates all major Indian festivals. So, various cuisines from various states are prepared over special lunch and dinner. On a regular day, it's a combination of south and north Indian cuisine at dinner, lunch, and breakfast. Overall, the food is good and even sumptuous at times.
Which college is the best among GIM, Nirma, and TAPMI?
All three colleges fall under the Tier 2 category of MBA colleges in India. However, TAPMI and GIM possess a slight edge over Nirma as they have a stronger brand reputation and placement figures.
When it comes to TAPMI and GIM, the former is known for finance and marketing while the latter is known for marketing as some top FMCG companies recruit from there. GIM could be considered slightly better if someone wishes to pursue marketing, and it also has a smaller batch size than TAPMI. The bigger the batch size, the harder it is for the placement team of any college.
How difficult is it for a fresher to be in the top 10 at TAPMI? Do you have any advice towards the same?
Yes, it is possible for a fresher with hard work and diligence.
It has nothing to do with the fact that you are a new student or work-ex. As long as you know what you want it's not because you're a fresher or work-ex. You can improve, develop, and utilize your skills if you know what you want from yourself. You'll get more than expected. My advice is to study hard, find subjects you like (you might think you like one but end up loving another), follow your hobbies (it's a busy program, but your interests don't have to die), enjoy the place (Manipal is a beautiful city inside and out, and you might never get the chance to go back), and make a lot of friends because networking is important.
Which college is better for Finance among IMT Ghaziabad (PGDM) & TAPMI BKFS?
IMT is a well-established college and comparing it to a mediocre college like TAPMI is not justifiable. Of the two, IMT Ghaziabad is clearly a better choice. To explain further I have compared both these institutes on the basis of some parameters like
- Establishment: Both these institutes were established in 1980 so they carry an equal legacy.
- Alumni: Despite a similar legacy, IMT Ghaziabad alumni are placed in higher positions and top firms today. The extensive alumni network has opened gates for corporate and industry exposure. IMT Ghaziabad’s alumni comprise more than 300 CXOs.
- Location: IMT Ghaziabad enjoys a better location advantage over TAPMI
- Pedagogy: Both the Institutes are AACSB accredited and follow similar curriculums yet there is a stark difference in the quality of education. This is because of the better pedagogy at IMT Ghaziabad than at TAPMI.
- Faculty: IMT Ghaziabad's teaching methodology is way ahead of that of TAPMI and the credit goes to its excellent faculty with amazing profiles. They have great industry exposure and help the students grasp the concepts practically.
