How do I crack Aiims(Delhi) and Neet 2023?

AS
Arul Singh Posted On : May 30th, 2023
MBBS from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (2020)

The first and foremost step to cracking NEET and getting into AIIMS is to commit yourself to hard work. It's a myth that only geniuses can clear AIIMS entrance. All you need is a high level of dedication and the will to work hard. Here are a few subject-wise tips that will help you through. It's important to note that my strategy is based on the Akash modules.

  • Physics: Pick up from the basic concepts of Physics. Rather than becoming proficient in certain topics, try to gain an overall knowledge of everything. Additionally, it's best to go through all NCERT books. These are extremely beneficial in Assertion & Reasoning questions. Arihant and Aakash's modules are a good alternative.
  • Chemistry: For Chemistry, Aakash modules are more than enough although you can refer to NCERT books as well and get a better grasp of the concepts.
  • Biology: Refrain from going through an in-depth study of Biology which is a common mistake among NEET aspirants. Trust me when I say NCERT is more than enough.

NEET, in reality, evaluates your basic knowledge and your presence of mind so it's best to read the basic concepts repeatedly than learn new ones in-depth.

What matters more than your preparation is how to present yourself on the D-Dy. make sure you are stress-free and manage your time well that day. It's important to focus on your health a few days prior to your exam and sleep and eat well the day before. Lastly, it's important to focus more on staying positive as a happy mind studies better.

KS
Kartikay Sinha Posted On : June 10th, 2023
Studies at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi (2025)

The salary of an M.B.B.S. student from AIIMS depends on his specialization and workplace.

  • Private practice is the highest-paying around INR 75-85k.
  • Those working in government or private colleges as a role of an SR are paid even less.
  • Those who pursue SRship from central institutes have low chances of clearing MCH entrance although it's not always the case). But the pay is much higher than in private institutes and keeps increasing yearly.
  • As for the AIIMS tag it takes no part in getting you good jobs but does okay a role in clearing Mch interviews.

MBBS students' average pay is INR 35-45k in the south and almost double the amount in Delhi.

AIIMS Delhi is one of the most prestigious institutes in India, and every student desires to secure a seat in the medical field. As a dropper, you will be familiar with most of the topics in physics and organic chemistry. But AIIMS conducts the toughest entrance exam, which is far beyond the NEET. So only strong determination, patience, and practice will lead you to your dream. Unfortunately, there is no other alternative to cracking the AIIMS entrance examination.

Physics – You should have a thorough knowledge of all the concepts. If you are clear on the concepts, the rest will be much easier for you. Mastering physics is not a hazardous task; all you need is consistency and a good timetable.

Is it possible to get a seat for PG at AIIMS Delhi in radiology for a doctor who got an MBBS degree from PGIMS Rohtak or another state medical college?

Raktim Tarafdar Posted On : September 28th, 2023

Yes, it is possible to get a seat for a postgraduate (PG) program at AIIMS Delhi, in radiology. But is highly competitive and typically requires candidates to meet specific eligibility criteria and pass an entrance examination. AIIMS Delhi generally admits candidates from across India, including those who have obtained their MBBS degrees from state medical colleges like PGIMS Rohtak or other institutions.

  • Eligibility: To be eligible for AIIMS PG courses, candidates are generally required to have a recognized MBBS degree from a university recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or the National Medical Commission (NMC).
  • Entrance Examination: Admission to AIIMS PG courses, including radiology, is primarily based on performance in the AIIMS PG Entrance Examination (AIIMS PGEE). AIIMS conducts an entrance exam every 6 months for entry into its MD, MS courses. You can regularly visit the Collegedunia website or exam portal of AIIMS to check for all the details regarding exam pattern, eligibility, seat distribution, registration for the exam, and other details.
  • Reservation: Although internal applicants (those who pursued their MBBS at AIIMS) typically receive 50% of the PG seats at AIIMS, outsider candidates do have a chance.
  • Counselling Process: Successful candidates in the AIIMS PGEE are called for counselling, where you can select your desired specialty and institute based on their rank and availability of seats.

Which is better for neurosurgery CMC Vellore or AIIMS Delhi?

TA
Tithi Aggrawal Posted On : July 4th, 2023
Lives in New Delhi

Both CMC Vellore and AIIMS Delhi are renowned Indian medical colleges and hospitals.

AIIMS Delhi is one of the super-specialty hospitals for neurosurgery. Even though CMC Vellore is equipped with all the facilities for the neurosurgery branch, AIIMS Delhi ranks better in this regard.

If you do end up in CMC Vellore, its neurosurgery is excellent in terms of patient management protocols and care. Its post-surgery rehabilitation is world-class and stands unparalleled.

Also, choose according to your preferred location. If you wish to settle in Delhi in the future, choosing AIIMS Delhi will be a wise decision. You can also choose based on the distance of the institution from your hometown.

Whichever of the two you choose, you will have to compromise your personal life to a great extent. However, you will gain a lot of experience for your career as a medical professional.

Overall, out of the two, AIIMS Delhi has more facilities for neurosurgery and a locational advantage.

What marks are required to get into AIIMS Delhi in the NEET UG 2023?

VM
Vedant Mishra Posted On : June 5th, 2023
MBBS from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi

Being the dream college for all medical students, AIIMS Delhi has a strict admission process as it only filters the best into the college. As a result, the cutoffs are higher than other medical colleges and it’s difficult to secure a seat irrespective of the category you belong to. There is tough competition between the aspirants and the acceptance rate is low.

Admission to AIIMS institutes is solely based on NEET scores. Those who clear the required cutoff are eligible for the admission process. Based on the recently concluded exam, the expected NEET cut-off of various categories for AIIMS MBBS admission is as follows

AIIMS Delhi cutoff 2023

Category

NEET 2023 Cut off Percentile

NEET 2023 Cut off Marks (Expected)

General/EWS

50

720-130

OBC/SC/ST

40

129-104

OBC/ SC/ ST – PwD

40

114-95

General/ EWS- PwD

45

129-115

If you are a general student, you need to score at least 50 percentile in NEET-UG to get admission into AIIMS Delhi.
