IIT Roorkee does not offer any courses in aerospace engineering. However, you can still explore the field through interdisciplinary projects and elective courses in other engineering disciplines. The institute encourages participation in competitions to provide hands-on experience in aircraft design and manufacturing

IIT Roorkee is one of the premier educational institutes in India and the best college in Uttarakhand. It has consistently ranked among the top engineering colleges every year. Admission to engineering courses at IIT Roorkee is based on JEE Advanced and GATE results. 

Despite the absence of aerospace engineering courses, you can opt for some other B.Tech specialisation at IIT Roorkee.

The 2024 JEE Advanced cutoff is yet to be released for IIT Roorkee.

What is the JEE Advanced 2024 cutoff for IIT Roorkee?

The 2024 JEE Advanced cutoff has not been released yet by IIT Roorkee. It will be released after each round of JoSAA counselling for BTech courses. It will be released for opening and closing ranks for different categories.

The overall cutoff for round I in 2023 for general category students was between 396 to 16701. I have provided the 2023 JEE Advanced cutoff for IIT Roorkee for some of the top courses.

It’s better to denounce the sheep mentality and think from your own perspective. If you are attracted to CS because of its lucrative branches, I suggest you not go for new IITs as the placement scenario is not that good.

IIT Roorkee, on the other hand, is a very old Engineering college with an excellent legacy. The rich coding culture motivates even non-CS students to learn coding to apply for software companies. The new IITs soaring in Guwahati and Indore lack the necessary resources and dynamism of coding.

One can always work on their noncore branches and gain additional skills to compensate for their flaws. But one should risk the Institute and always go for the best.

It’s better to choose IIT Roorkee Mechanical than CS in new IITs.
