Institute-wise, BITS Pilani is much better than IIT Mandi. But branch-wise, both CSE and EEE are equally good with CSE at a slighter advantage.
From this, we can infer that BITS Pilani EEE is a better choice. The placement scenario of both the branches is the same and that’s when the institute's credibility comes into play.
Many top firms recruit only from old IITs and BITS Pilani and new IITs are not even considered by these top companies. There is a stark contrast between placement scenarios of old and new IITs in terms of the package and roles offered.
I feel students are initially unaware of their actual interests and so it’s better to target a better college than a better branch. BITS Pilani EE fulfills all the criteria and offers a plethora of placement options that might not be available in new IITs like IIT Mandi.
As far as the IIT tag is concerned, the increasing number of new IITs has diluted its brand value. The IIT tag brand value rests with the old IITs only and the new IITs are not that respected. Companies prefer students from institutes like BITS Pilani or IIIT Hyderabad rather than new IITs.
If you are looking for guidance on whether to choose BITS or IIT Ropar for your education, here are some factors to consider:
Both BITS Pilani and IIT Ropar are excellent institutions with their own unique strengths and weaknesses. Your decision should be based on factors such as your budget, career goals, and personal preferences. It is advisable to do thorough research and seek advice from professionals or alumni before making a decision.
This might be a hard choice. You have to think deeply and make a tough decision while choosing between any of these colleges.

Even if you intend to further research and hold the IIT tag, Mandi is a good alternative. Anyway, BITS is a decent choice, but for the rest of your life, you will miss the IIT tag. In the end, it will be your decision which college you want to opt for or go with.
Before I begin, let me clear the misconception that the 3-year MTech program is inferior in quality to the 2-year MTech program. Because of this false assumption, the higher ranking MTech students tend to choose the 2-year MTech programs instead of the 3-year program.
Similarity
Differences
Both IIT Hyderabad and IIT Bombay offer 3-year MTech programs. There may be some other IITs as well offering similar programs.
Between BITS and IIT Hyderabad, I think the latter is a better option from a research point of view. Additionally, IIT Hyderabad also has a locational advantage, better connectivity, industry, expert interactions, etc.
The best would be to go for a B.Tech from BITS Pilani and then an MBA degree from IIM/XLRI etc.
IPM at IIM Indore gives you an IGNOU graduate degree and then a diploma. Even though you will do the last two years together with the PGDM students selected via CAT, you won’t get the same status as them. It will take a couple of years to get acceptance. Additionally, the legality of the course is vaguely defined.
Choosing one of these options also depends on your career orientation. If you want a job in the technical field then doing a B.Tech from BITS Pilani is better. Go for IPM from IIM Indore, only if you are certain you want to get into management job roles.
The MSc. Honours at BITS Pilani is a highly recommended course for every student who is interested in a combination of Science and Engineering. It is an excellent course provided by the institute, with great opportunities for students in various fields. The points below give a brief overview of the course of MSc. Honors provided by BITs Pilani.
Therefore, BITS Pilani provides an appropriate ground to cherish any kind of talent of students, which is a great aspect of the institute.
Both of these colleges are good for pursuing a PGDM/MBA. The decision to choose the college should depend on your preference. The first aspect of choosing the college is the location of the college and your ability to shift to pursue the degree.
If you are okay with shifting to Pilani, then I will suggest you to choose BITS Pilani for MBA. The course curriculum of MBA at BITS Pilani has been designed to meet the industry needs. You will be trained in such a way that once you start working, you’ll find it easy to cope with the workload.
The practical approach that is used by BITS Pilani in its curriculum to give students access to a high level of education is commendable. You will get opportunities to do internships from top companies and even bag PPO offers if you are lucky. Each year top companies visit our college to recruit students.
Thus if you are comfortable with moving to a completely different place away from your home, I would suggest BITS Pilani for an MBA.
First of all, you need to understand what you want. Do you want higher education or a placement? Then ask yourself whether you want only computer science because you love the subject or simply because you want a good placement.

ENI and ECE are technically different branches but they are almost the same. Except for the high fee of BITS Pilani, I do not feel BITS Pilani or Goa campus is anything less worthwhile than NIT Calicut. In fact, if you want only placements, then BITS Pilani any campus should be your choice.
According to my friends studying at BITS Pilani, you should go with CSE. As it has got quite higher packages and has a greater number of job opportunities.
There are many top companies that participate in the placement drives conducted by BITS Pilani. They include companies like Microsoft, Capgemini, Accenture, TCS, Cognizant, IBM, Mindtree, ZS Associates, HCL, HP, Morgan & Stanley, etc.
It is suggested that you go for CSE rather than electrical due to its huge demand and scope. But ultimately it is your decision to make.
Among the given options, BITS Pilani CSE is relatively better. Here is why.
As for the difficulty level of the curriculum, it’s entirely subjective.
