Transcripts from Calicut University are extremely difficult to obtain. Outstation students should contact any Transcripts Services provider. It is preferable to get it done from a service provider rather than visiting the university multiple times. Indian transcripts are extremely affordable and excellent in their services.
When you apply for the first time for transcripts, it only costs 500 rs, and each additional copy costs 10 rs. The first copy remains the same the second time, while each additional copy costs 10 rupees.
The huge increase of 90 rs for additional copies in 6 months is intolerable. Questioning the authority is pointless because they never provide a proper response.
The management system at Calicut is overly bureaucratic. If you go to them with a question, they will ask you to go to another person, and so on. You will not be held accountable for anything. Thus, it is extremely expensive to get transcripts.

The simple answer is Yes. The marks of all the complementary subjects are included in the final percentage. The scores obtained for each subject in each individual semester are included. Apart from this, the score obtained in each course (Core/Complementary/Open) is also mentioned below the Total Score.
This information is applicable only on the Final Marksheet. As for the Degree Certificate, only the final/overall Grade obtained (of all the courses combined together) will be mentioned.
There are many paid guest facilities in and around the university. Two of them are highly recommended.
Deepthi Cultural Center - This place is run by CMI fathers. It is cost-effective and well-furnished. It can be reached from the back of the University and is close to the Languages Block. It is suitable for both men and women. It has a variety of single as well as shared rooms.
Malanad - This one resembles an expensive lodge. For women, there is a hostel-like facility. For men, it is more expensive. It is within walking distance of a few minutes from the front of the University. It’s located at a place called Chenakkal.
These places are cost-effective, nearby and well-equipped. You can also hail an auto from the University Bus Stop to reach these places.
CUCBCSS is an educational model that allows students to select courses and subjects of their choice, including core, elective, open or global electives, and skill-based courses. Unlike traditional grading systems, the CBCSS grading pattern is based on credits earned each semester.
The entire course of study and examination is known as the program, and it will last six semesters over a three-year period. A semester is a set of 18 academic weeks, each with 5 working days. It will take at least 90 working days, including examinations.
The credit of the course is the measure of a weekly unit of work assigned for the course. It is a measure of the student's total number of teaching hours. Typically, 18 hours of classroom teaching activity would result in a credit for the student. Extra credit is credit earned by a student for extracurricular activities.
Breaking down the MA English entrance exam pattern at Calicut University into different parts:
1. Questions with Multiple Choice Answers. There will be four options from which to choose. The questions will be of the same caliber as those found in UGC-NET examinations.
2. One-word answers, again of the UGC-NET type.
3. Short answers based on the BA syllabus
4. Essays based on the BA Syllabus, as well as General English Criticism and Theory. Beginning Theory by Peter Barry is a good place to start.
MCQs and one-word answers are extremely important because each question is worth one mark, and if you prepare well, you can easily gain a significant advantage from them. You must be familiar with the BA English course syllabus to get away with the questions asked in the entrance exam.
