Which IIM should I choose amongst Bodh Gaya, Sirmaur, and Jammu?
All the 3 B Schools you mentioned have been established recently and are not very different from each other. My sister is an IIM Jammu pass out so I will mention whatever I know of that particular IIM only.

- through various Guest Lectures and various events like HR Conclave and CEO Summit
- Being a new IIM, the student-driven culture is at its peak here. You are responsible for solving issues related to the establishment of clubs and committees.
So I think IIM Jammu is probably a good choice.
Is Integrated programme of management of IIM Bodh Gaya worth it?
Whether a course is suitable for a person depends solely on what he wants from the course and his priorities. You cannot generalize a course's value. Yet, in my opinion, it’s a course worth doing for everyone. Some points that speak in favor of this program are
- Unlike the general misconception of IPM being lower in terms of degree, the IPM program at IIM Bodh Gaya offers dual degrees to its students (B.A (Foundations in Management) and a normal MBA).
- Despite being a new IIM, it has carried the legacy of IIM and has proven its worth through its fast-paced growth and 100% placement percentage.
- IIM Bodh Gaya maintains strong international relations with world-class educational institutes like SolBridge International School of Business in South Korea and Montpellier Business School in France through its elite student exchange program
- Its location is one of the reasons many students choose it over other new IIMs. It’s located just 7 km away from the Gaya airport at a Buddhist tourist spot.
So IIM Bodh Gaya in general and its IPM program especially is worth taking.
What is the dress code of IIM? I am going to join IIM Bodh Gaya this year but I don’t have any idea about the uniform.
There is no strictly followed dress code at IIM Bodh Gaya. Yet you are expected to dress properly on certain occasions. For instance
- For your pre-placement process you are expected to be dressed either in Business casuals or smart casuals
- For your Placement Interviews and Group Discussions, your attire should necessarily be formal.
- During your classes it’s recommended that you dress up in smart casuals as it gives a good impression on the faculty. Wearing informal T-Shirts might set a wrong image of you.
- During class presentations, you should adopt General smart casuals as your dress code and if the presentation is extra serious, you might even wear formal.
- In the hostel you can wear whatever you want and there are no boundaries. Still, you are expected to be modestly clothed as the hostels are co-Ed.
So before joining IIM, try to arrange at least 3 formal suits that might come in handy during emergencies.
How is the infrastructure at IIM Bodh Gaya
IIM Bodh Gaya students have their own campus building. Its infrastructure is top-notch and enhances the learning experience of its students. Its building was constructed under the guidance and instruction of the Government of Bihar. Some major pinnacles of the infrastructure are

- Computer Lab with 100+ computers.

Is it preferable and possible to do a CFA along with an MBA in Finance if I take admission in IIM Bodh Gaya?
It is possible to pursue the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification in conjunction with an MBA degree from IIM Bodh Gaya, as well as other certifications such as Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Financial Modeling and Valuation Analyst (FMVA), Certified Business Continuity Analyst (CBCA), Certified Market Surveillance Analyst (CMSA), National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), and National Stock Exchange's Certification in Financial Markets (NCFM).
Whether or not it is preferable to pursue the CFA certification alongside an MBA in Finance is a matter of personal preference. Like other IIMs, IIM Bodh Gaya has a rigorous curriculum and pedagogy. Which is better, IIM Bodh Gaya or SIBM Bangalore?
The brand of IIM is well-respected and will continue to hold weight in the future. IIM Bodhgaya is a relatively new institute and has the potential to grow further in the coming years. While SIBM Bangalore may have slightly better placement opportunities, graduating from IIM Bodhgaya will be a great achievement and you will be proud to say that you have studied at an IIM.

However, if you have the determination and belief that you can score higher on the CAT exam and have strong academics, it may be worth considering giving it another shot for the chance to attend a better institute. Can I use my IPMAT Indore score to apply for IIM Rohtak, Jamu Bodh Gaya, and Ranchi?
IIM Rohtak conducts a separate exam, known as the Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test (IPMAT), to give admission to the Integrated Program in Management (IPM) course offered. Similarly, the Joint Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test (JIPMAT) is conducted to give admission to IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya. Only IIM Ranchi accepts the IPMAT (Indore) score.
The IPMAT exam is divided into two sections Quantitative Aptitude: QA MCQ and QA SA, and one section of Verbal Aptitude. For the QA SA section, it is important to develop a strong conceptual understanding of arithmetic, algebra, and geometry topics. This will help you to perform well in this section. The QA MCQ section is relatively tricky and you need to be quick and precise with your answers to score well. The concepts used in this section will be familiar from your studies in classes 8th to 12th, but you must know how to apply them to the questions given. The third section, VA, is generally considered to be the easiest and most scoring section, as you can finish it in a shorter amount of time. If you successfully clear the IPMAT exam, you will be required to give the Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) for IIM Indore.
