The answer to this question is subjective. Whether you will get a seat or not depends on mainly two things, i.e. the campus you want to be a part of and the branch of your choice.
You might somehow secure a seat with 87/200 in the main campus which is at Manipal, Karnataka but I am afraid that you might not get any of the core branches. It is a different case if luck is on your side. But, there is an option which is, if you get selected, be it in any branch, the university lets you change your branch at the end of the first year depending upon your grades and vacancies available in the branch that you want to opt.
My brother did his MBA from Manipal University and it has been one of the best decisions of his life. While both are prime universities, Manipal holds an edge due to the following reasons.

Some of the streams you can get at Manipal University with this score are
However the actual statistics depend on the number of candidates appearing and many other factors.
A friend of mine had a similar score and he got admission to Manipal University. I cannot give you assurance but there is a chance that you might get a seat with this score.
According to the previous cut-offs, the branches you may probably get are Mechanical, CSE, ECE, IT, CCE. You also have a chance of ending up in the EEE department. There is a small chance of bagging a seat in a final couple of rounds, however.
You can also give the university another shot, though. If you manage to obtain a score of 120 or higher, you run a high possibility of getting into branches that have more promise, other than the ones mentioned previously. You will also have more freedom to choose with a higher score.
Biotechnology is a budding branch that is good enough to get you working in the industry instead of the research field. The curriculum deals with industrial purposes like bioprocess engineering, design of industrial equipment,bio-reaction engineering, etc.
Despite the decent subject and scope, pursuing B.Tech biotechnology from Manipal University's main campus is not a wise thing to do. Here’s why
All in all, Manipal University's main campus provides good academics and learning experiences for the biotechnology branch. If you are interested in research, you can do a minor specialization in genetic engineering and pharmacy.
