Is NIET Noida good for civil engineering?
The Civil Engineering department of NIET Noida is not at all satisfactory, considering most reviews available over the internet. There are several problems that students of Civil Engineering have to face in the institute, some of which are listed below in the following points.
- Most teachers in the Civil Engineering department are just graduates. They usually don’t have a good knowledge of the subjects in-depth, not even for the one they teach.
- Some faculties in the institute are currently enrolled in M.Tech programs from other institutes in Rajasthan and have been teaching in the institute’s Civil Engineering department as part-time employees.
- The management of NIET has no attention towards the placement and other educational and infrastructural aspects of the Civil Engineering department.
- In the Civil Engineering department, the authority even sends students to fake internships where the students have to pay in return for doing the same. This is done for the greed of fake placement opportunities.
- The faculty is also non-supportive about the condition of the Civil Engineering department in the institute. Most of them are also indulged in providing coaching in private organizations for GATE and IES.
Civil Engineering at NIET Noida is not a good choice as mentioned in the points above. You should look for better options.
Should I do ME from NIET?
Yes, it can be a good option for your career if you opt for ME from NIET. There would be no regrets in the future if you sincerely want to join the college for studies and growth in your career. My brother graduated from the same college in the year 2017 from the ME branch, so I might be able to help you with the question.
- NIET is not a bad option for a course like ME.
- Although there are not many extracurricular events that get scheduled in NIET like fests or DJ nights for students, it is still good for studies and placement purposes.

What is the eligibility criteria to take admission in NIET, Greater Noida? Is their any direct admission based on class 12th marks?
Yes, Amity, NIET, Galgotia, and other colleges may admit the students based on their 12th percentage only if you have a percentage of 75 or above.
Instead of this, you can also apply for management quota admission to some of the higher-ranked universities. By making a donation, you can get admission to the top colleges such as VIT, SRM, or any private college in the south, as well as colleges in Pune and overall.
Alternatively, you must appear in UPSEE and obtain a good score and a good rank in order to be considered for a seat in one of AKTU’s good colleges.
NIET requires students who have a rank from 1-30 thousand or the students can apply for direct admission based on their 12th percentage.

NIET does not offer any facility to pay the hostel fee in installments. The students can however pay some amount as booking amount. But the administration may say that they will not allow you to give semester exams and inhibit giving admit cards. So you need to pay the rest amount before the semester exam. The team may also impose a late submission fee.
I have a few friends who recently graduated from NIET. According to them, choose the hostel if you are in your first year. Otherwise, you can also live in any PG or Flat nearby as per your convenience.
How much scholarship will I get if I have taken admission at NIET Noida through UPSEE counselling?
If you don't get a seat through the fee waiver category, you still have to pay full tuition fees that are 1.4 Lakhs in NIET Greater Noida. After that, you can apply for government-funded scholarships.
- Most will be for undergraduate study. If you miss out on applying for scholarships initially, don't worry.
- Many senior students have the opportunity to apply for scholarships.
- If you're denied a seat through the fee waiver program, you can still apply for a scholarship.
- The amount of tuition fees you pay will depend on whether you're afforded a fee waiver.

Admissions require students to have 45% and 60% marks in 10+2 and graduation respectively with UPSEE, CAT, or GATE scores.
