Is branch changing possible in JNTUH?

Branch changing or sliding is not possible at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTUH). While applying for options in the counseling, you must do it very carefully. One of my cousins was a part of the institute, and he mentions that the atmosphere of the college is more important than the branch you are studying in.

My cousin once heard and learned that branch change was possible, with certain factors in hand, but has never practically seen one do it. It is best if you perform research on your own, and find out whether or not it is deemed possible at present.

How much is the reimbursement for an MTech at OU or JNTUH?

Sabeer Chalana Posted On : August 8th, 2023

If your family income is below 1 Lakh rupees and you have a certificate for the same from the Telangana Government, you can claim a fee reimbursement at OU or JNTUH. However, reimbursement and scholarship are available to those students who have qualified in Telangana state EAMCET/ECET/PGECET and got admission through counseling.

These documents are required to apply for the fee reimbursement- SSC Marks Memo, Inter or 10+2 Marks Memo, Transfer Certificate, Mee Seva Income Certificate, Mee Seva Caste Certificate for BC, SC/ST, Ration Card, Aadhaar Card, Bank Pass Book Front Page, Allotment Order, Passport Size Photo, Parents’ Aadhaar Cards, PAN Cards Information, Study Certificates for last 7 years in the state of Telangana.

If you belong to Andhra Pradesh and have taken the Telangana state EAMCET, and you got admission at OU or JNTUH through Telangana State Counseling, you can also apply for the fee reimbursement given that you meet all the above requirements and have all the above-mentioned documents from your state.

One of my friends studied at JNTUH, here’s what I got to know from him. There are mainly two processes that need to be followed to apply for M.Tech in JNTUH through GATE.

  • Most importantly, you would require to clear your GATE with a very good score to have a better opportunity of being accepted at the university.
  • You may go through the details regarding GATE on the online websites or Wikipedia.
  • The next step is to clear the (AP/TS) PGECET with an exceptional score for your name to be present in the first merit list.

For a better insight, you may go through the details on their official website. You can also talk to the authorities to get better and intricate details. They will be able to guide you through the process.

Is JNTU-H better than NIT puducherry?

SG

One of my friends studied in JNTU Hyderabad and she says that the college is very good when it comes to studies and placement.

It gives you great opportunities to build your career and thrive in it. The subject knowledge is crucial and is given great importance there. The curriculum is also very structured and helps students with the approach to study. Many MNCs participate in the placement drive. In the NIRF Ranking 2021, JNTU has ranked 62 along with other NITs. It will be unfair to compare two very different entities but you can choose based on your requirement.

Is chemical engineering at jntuh is good?

VR
Vinay Reddy Posted On : September 13th, 2021
B.Tech Chemical Engineering,Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University,Hyderabad (2019)

Yes, chemical engineering at JNTU is good. If you are interested in chemical engineering, then it's the best place to pursue it.

Infrastructure: The Chemical Engineering branch started at the institute only a few years ago. It does not even have a specific departmental block. It shares the block of the Metallurgical department. CE also doesn't have their own labs. Students go to other departments to do their lab work.

Placements: The first batch of Chemical Engineering graduated in 2018 and it had good core placements. Companies like Vedanta, ITC recruit Chemical Engineering students. In recent years the average CTC offered at the institute is 9 LPA.

I will advise you to only opt for Chemical Engineering if you are interested. If a student needs only the tag and brand of JNTU then choosing a chemical branch will not be a good idea.

I have a choice of joining 5 year integrated program in JNTUH this year or take a drop and study for BITS or NITs. Which is going to be better?

Sabeer Chalana Posted On : August 8th, 2023

The 5 year integrated EEE, ECE and CSE programs at JNTUH are pretty good. These courses offer good placements and the faculty is also the same for them most of the time.

But according to me, you should take a drop and study for BITS and NITs. As long as you are determined, do not fall into societal pressure, and prepare for the JEE next year. With hard work, you can even end up getting into an IIT. Prepare well to secure a seat in a top NIT or a good BITS campus.

However, if you don’t want to spend another year in preparation, join the integrated program at JNTUH. You won’t regret your decision. It is a really good choice if you are not obsessed about getting into an NIT or BITS.

How can I get a seat in an MBA in JNTUH ?

JP
Jiten Pradhan Posted On : August 8th, 2023
Studied at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (2020)

To get admission to in MBA at JNTUH, you have to take the TS ICET and qualify it. You have to get a rank in 3 digits. If you are from OC, the cutoff rank goes below 300. For caste reservation, the rules of ICET are followed. The total number of seats is around 40, but the seats are usually not filled completely.

You can also seek admission as an NRI student and take the exam for that particular category. The fee, however, is 10 times the ICET fee. Also, only 2 to 3 NRI students are admitted in a single batch. There is also the CMU option in which you study for 1 year at JNTUH and another year at Michigan University. It is a separate batch and contains 20 students.

The MBA faculty over here is great and highly experienced. You will thoroughly enjoy the classes. You will have to work hard and secure a good rank in the ICET exam to secure your seat for the MBA program at JNTUH.

How can you define a B.Tech at JNTUH?

SD
Sai Kumar Dhillon Posted On : August 8th, 2023
Studied at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (2016)

The life of a B.Tech student at JNTUH is amazing if you make the most of it. There are many perks of choosing JNTUH, especially over its affiliated colleges-

  1. The campus is spacious and beautiful. It has a separate block for all the different engineering departments and separate buildings for all the first-year B.Tech students.
  2. The campus has well-equipped libraries. There is a central library along with a college library which issues 4 and 3 cards respectively. Overall, you will get 7 cards which is enough for a semester.
  3. TEQIP is open 24*7 and has a good quality internet facility. The labs are well-equipped. The auditorium is very beautiful and is one of the best college auditoriums.
  4. The sports facilities are pretty good.
  5. You will get all the freedom and no one will spoon-feed you.
  6. There are plenty of places to hang out outside the campus.
  7. The placements are good and packages lie between 3.3 LPA to 12 LPA.

I would also like to shed some light on the weak points of JNTUH. The professors over here teach very well but the teaching assistants do not. You won’t have the freedom to conduct your own experiments in the lab and will have to follow instructions. There are no literary clubs, drama clubs, and anything of that kind over here.

You will have a great time at JNTUH if you create a balance between studies and enjoyment.

How did you spend 4 years of your life at JNTUH College of Engineering Hyderabad?

SD
Sai Kumar Dhillon Posted On : August 8th, 2023
Studied at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (2016)

I spent 4 years of my B.Tech at JNTUH having fun with my hostel mates and making endless memories. With them, time passed very quickly. We went on numerous tours and bike rides. We had even more fun during the fests. During the first 2 years, I spent a lot of time online, and during my third year, I developed an interest in Cricket.

I did study, but mostly a day or two before my exams. The days of exams and practicals passed very slowly. I remember how one of my hostel friends used to teach the entire syllabus to us one night before the exams.

I miss each one of my friends. Each one of them had a particular habit which still makes me laugh whenever I think of those days. I had a wonderful time at JNTUH College of Engineering during my B.Tech and always look back to those wonderful days in times of distress.

HJ
Hirdekh Jain Posted On : August 8th, 2023
Studied at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (2016)

Here are some tips to get a good percentage in the B.Tech exams of JNTUH-

  1. First of all, make sure to score well in your internals because they matter a lot. Ask the faculty for guidance and get your queries solved. Make sure to establish a good reputation in front of your professors.
  2. Focus on your lab as well.
  3. For the external exams, start preparing at least a month prior to your exams. Theoretical answers are easy to write, so focus more on numerical problems. Doing so will boost your scores.
  4. According to the new regulation, 40 marks are designated to CIE (continuous internal evaluation) while 60 are designated to SEE (Semester End Examination).

You will get your B.Tech degree from JNTUH with at least a 75% if you follow these tips diligently and study with utmost sincerity.
