Why is LNCT Bhopal better than OIST Bhopal?

RP
Rishabh Patil Posted On : September 17th, 2021
Studies ECE at LNCT Bhopal ,2023

Both LNCT Bhopal and OIST Bhopal have gained a reputation among other engineering colleges in Madhya Pradesh. Here are some of the reasons why.

  • Both the institutes are among the oldest engineering colleges in Bhopal, and in light of this fact, the academic depth crucially slopes higher with respect to their age of establishment.
  • In fact, the major upside both institutes boast is their infrastructure and faculty strength, unlike many other institutes.
  • The placement reports, most essentially, are booming, regardless of present circumstances.

However, when compared there are no such differences between LNCT Bhopal and OIST Bhopal.

Pros of LNCT:

  • LNCT Bhopal, recently, improved its disciplinary and management strategies. OIST Bhopal, on the other hand, also has its own management yet it is not as it used to be.
  • The placements of LNCT have been better than OIST for the last few years now. The reason behind this is their TPO, who earlier was associated with Oriental. According to the recent placement highlights the average CTC offered at the institute is 3.5 LPA, while the highest CTC offered was 21 LPA.
  • However, in placement numbers, OIST still beats LNCT due to the mass recruitment of TCS.

Cons of LNCT:

  • Regardless of their disciplinary actions, LNCT does mandate an attendance requirement until the final year, which is severely hard to maintain.
  • It is quite transparent as to why students have a hard time preparing for exams like GATE or CAT.
  • The technical and cultural fests are quite infrequent, as opposed to what is in OIST Bhopal. However, this is not as crucial as the other aspects of the institute.

Nonetheless, if you are opting between the both, LNCT Bhopal has an upper hand, even though by only a few pointers. But, given the scenario, there are no greatly noticeable differences between the two institutes, except only a few handfuls.

Which college is best for ECE, Heritage Kolkata or LNCT Bhopal?

KK
Keshav Kumar Posted On : September 28th, 2021
Studied BE from Lakshmi Narain College of Technology,Bhopal (2020)

In Kolkata, Heritage has a splendid reputation and is considered one of the best colleges. On the other hand, LNCT Bhopal is a top-notch private institute in Madhya Pradesh. It ranks 66th among the best colleges in India and has successfully secured the 3rd rank in the state.

LNCT is decent for ECE with qualified and experienced faculty and cooperative seniors. They have an active branch for organizing seminars, training, and other activities as well as supervising HODs. A 95% placement record is maintained every year. Esteemed companies such as Wipro, TCS, Cognizant, Infosys, etc. visit the campus for recruitment purposes.

Although it is not an easy decision to come to terms with, you should evaluate the pros and cons of your choice before deciding on anything. If admission to a private engineering institute is what you desire then evaluate your expenses with other private institutes if it is on a high end.

How do I get a good job from campus, LNCT Bhopal?

SP
Soumyadeep Paul Posted On : May 15th, 2021
studied at LNCT Bhopal

Many top companies such as Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Cognizant, and others visit the campus of LNCT Bhopal for placements. To secure a job in any of these companies, you should have a degree of 7+ and you need to clear written, technical, HR.

Preparation Tips - Written:

To clear the written test, it would be better if you can join institutes like T.I.M.E. This wouldn't be like University exams which can be cleared by studying for one day or two. Here you have to prepare very hard for Aptitude, Logical Reasoning & English as all of these are very important to clear the written.

Preparation Tips - Technical:

To clear technical, you must have proper knowledge of programming languages like C++, Java, MySQL, Oracle and subjects like Operating System, DBMS, Data Structure, Software Engineering Object-Oriented Programming, Computer Networks. Some questions may be asked from these subjects during your interview, so prepare for these subjects very well.

Preparation Tips - HR:

In this round, your communication skills and your IQ level will be tested, so prepare for this round very well. Also some. Also, there are group discussion sessions for some companies, so prepare for that too.

Is LNCT Bhopal good for IT?

MG
Mohini Gupta Posted On : May 28th, 2021
studied at Lakshmi Narain College of Technology, Bhopal

If you do not have the option to join any government colleges and getting jobs is a concern, then LNCT is the place to be. With good grades, you may even get a job offer with a package of 3 to 4 LPA.

However, if you are hoping for a more comprehensive development of your personality, the answer is no. At the institute, you will have to write assignments, wear uniforms, maintain attendance, and participate in no extracurricular activities for four years.

There will also be insufficient learning in terms of both coding and soft skills. If you wish to pursue a career in the IT sector, you should seek out a suitable university, as RGPV teaches in an outdated manner, with only a few subjects taught that are relevant in today's technological advances.

The table shows a brief overview of the institution.

Highest Salary

19 lakhs

Average Salary

3.5 lakhs

Recruiters

Wipro, TCS, Capgemini, etc.

In comparison to other institutions in Bhopal, LNCT is the top college in Bhopal that is associated with RGPV, and you have a better chance of getting a job there. Overall, it depends on your preference.

Which one is better: BITS Jaipur or LNCT Bhopal?

PS
Praduman Shah Posted On : October 1st, 2021
Lakshmi Narain College of Technology,Bhopal

LNCT Bhopal is a better option. When appearing for the placement interview from BIT Jaipur, you will have to compete with students in a large number as pooled placement takes place and students from all the BIT are allowed to appear for that.

While LNCT offers good placements. According to the recent highlights, the average CTC offered is 3-8 LPA. In 2020 Microsoft offered the highest CTC of 27 LPA.

On the other hand, if you are comparing BITS Pilani and LNCT Bhopal then without any second thoughts, Pilani is the answer. In order to get admission there, you should be able to crack their entrance exam (BITSAT) and it takes great effort.

What do you not like in LNCT Bhopal?

KP
Kunal Prajapati Posted On : September 28th, 2021
Studied B.Tech CSE,at Lakshmi Narain College of Technology,Bhopal (2019)

Being an engineering student at LNCT, I realized the following things about the life of a student in an engineering college.

  1. You will not have a college life because of too many quizzes, assignments, exams, viva, practical exams held in the college.
  2. If your branch is anything other than IT and CSE, you better start looking out for opportunities elsewhere, because only IT companies participate in the recruitment drives on campus.
  3. Students with core engineering cannot find decent opportunities for roles related to their branch of studies.
  4. A 75% attendance will become very tough to maintain. You need to think a hundred times before taking leave or missing a class.

But, among these at least the faculty is said to be promising but the students disagree. As the college has a mixture of good and average professors. It is a basic expectation for students to have a good, experienced faculty and mentors, a comfortable environment to study, and receive the necessary facilities.

Can anyone give honest review of lnct-e Bhopal?

KC
Kajal Chaturvedi Posted On : September 21st, 2021
Bachelors in Electrical and Electronics Engineering,Lakshmi Narain College of Technology

I have a few friends from LNCT and here is their insight on the institute.

  • All of the colleges in the LNCT group are more or less the same in every way, including the majority of the faculty.
  • All three (LNCT, LNCTS, and LNCTE) are on the same campus. You will have similar college events, such as tech fests, etc.
  • Most importantly, when it comes to placement, you will be considered the same as LNCT students, and there will be no discrimination.
  • Unlike other colleges, in LNCTE, you will have to conduct your experiments in the lab.
  • The books in the library are standard textbooks that are useful for a student who is preparing for a test.

So overall it is a good institute. Go for it.

What are some helpful tips for students starting their first year at LNCT Bhopal?

MK
Mahima Kaushik Posted On : September 23rd, 2021
Studied B.E. Computer Science,Lakshmi Narain College of Technology,Bhopal (2017)

One of my friends graduated from LNCT Bhopal and here are a few tips for you.

  • Look for industry-based courses online or offline and start doing certifications. It will help you in building your profile and will also boost your placement chances.
  • Try to score a GPA above 7.5 as it will help you in placement offers. My friend was placed in Capgemini and trust me your grades are important.
  • Keep active participation in as many events as possible and receive co-curricular certificates.
  • You must know how to frame good answers as it will help you in getting good grades.
  • Maintain a good rapport with seniors. They may help you someday.
  • Don't rely on the college for knowledge. The syllabus is outdated. Get yourself practical knowledge from anywhere you can.
  • Maintain a good relationship with the faculty members.
  • Plan for the future. If you are planning for MBA, GATE, or Civil Services exams start preparing from the 2nd year itself.

It is up to you only how you want to utilize the time during your college days. You can either succeed or fail. Be responsible and act wisely.
