One of my friends graduated from the Aerospace Department of IIT Madras, and according to him, it is one of the finest departments in the country.

Curriculum:

The curriculum followed at the institute is quite effective. You can easily follow any of the subfields that you are interested in. In the first few semesters, you will get to learn the basics such as structures, fluids, and propulsion. In the later semesters, there are electives from each subfield.

Facilities:

There are state-of-the-art facilities such as wind tunnels, supercomputers, available for easy experimentation.

Placements:

The median salary offered to the students of the branch is 12 LPA, and the CTC offered ranges between 6-30 LPA.
