Are placements at IIM Calcutta as good as that of IIM Ahmedabad?

Yes, IIM Calcutta placement statistics are similar to that of IIM Ahmedabad. The placement average for both campuses is 100% and similar salary packages are offered. During the 2022 placement drive the median CTC offered at IIM Ahmedabad was INR 36.2 LPA. For IIM Calcutta, the average CTC offered this year was INR 34.2 LPA. 

Students of IIM C prefer Investment Banking and PE more, this is why the placement rate for consulting is lower.

IIM Calcutta was the first national institute to be established in 1961 for postgraduate education and research studies in Management. It is considered a pioneer in the field of Management through the post graduate and doctoral programmes. It is one of Asia’s finest Business schools.
