Your engineering branch won’t matter much during NITIE placements. Your performance and academic record throughout your program will be the deciding factors for placements. So, focus on developing industry-relevant skills and maintaining good grades. If you have a decent academic record and the required skills, you can easily get good placement opportunities through the campus drive.

PGDIM from NITIE (2019)

One of my cousins recently graduated from NITIE and according to him, to some extent, it matters. But the recruiters look for your qualifications more than the branch you are from.

But if you are from the Industrial/ Production/ Mechanical Branch, NITIE is the best option for you, besides SJMSOM and SPJIMR. If you perform well in NITIE, it does not matter in the end which branch grad you are, you will receive decent placement offers.

So your branch is not what you should be worried about. Focus on other things that help to improve your resume and adds to your skills.
