Should I choose Sharda University or Lovely Professional University?

Sharda University and Lovely Professional University are both UGC approved private universities located in Greater Noida and Jalandhar respectively. They are both AIU members and considered to be amongst the top tier-3 institutions in India. Sharda University is ranked at 151 by NIRF in 2020. Whereas, Lovely Professional University is ranked at 99 by NIRF in 2020.

Sharda University- Apart from national level exams, students are required to appear for SUAT, which is a unique online test conducted by Sharda University for admissions to UG and PG courses.

LPU- Admissions for BTech, MSc, and LLM programs at LPU are based on the JEE mains or LPUNEST rankings, which is the entrance exam conducted by the university.

Placements: The placement record for both the universities is very competitive but LPU observes a higher number of international companies as part of its recruitment drive.

Top recruiters at Sharda University are Cognizant, Videocon, Mahindra, TATA Aig, Asian Paints. Whereas, major recruiters at LPU include Google, Microsoft, Accenture, Yahoo, IBM.
