LPU Placements 2022: Average Package, Highest Package and Top Recruiters

Presidency University is a relatively newly established institute in 2013 whereas LPU was founded in 2006. LPU was ranked 99th for the overall by NIRF and Presidency University Bangalore was awarded with University of the year 2018 by EduTech review.

Placements Stats:

Presidency University, Bangalore:

• The institute also provides soft skill training and activities, certification programs as well as placement preparation activities in collaboration with industry giants.
• The major recruiters at the institute include WIPRO, Axis Bank, Oracle Aditya Birla Group among 30 others
• Students from the MBA course were placed in various sectors like finance, consultancy, HR, IT, with average placement rate of 80%
• Highest CTC offered for MBA is 16 LPA while average is between 8-10 LPA
• The highest package offered for B. Tech is INR 7 lakhs per annum and an average package of INR 4.99 lakhs per annum.

Lovely Professional University, Punjab:

• More than 650 companies offer over 2500+ placement opportunities
• The highest package offered by Microsoft of 42 LPA was secured by a B.TECH CSE student.
• The average packages offered for MBA, BBA, B.TECH are INR 16 LPA, INR 5 LPA and INR 8 LPA respectively.
• The maximum number of students are recruited by Cognizant, Tech Mahindra and Capgemini followed by Bosch, Amazon and Wipro.
• Moreover, students are also trained for various skills and aptitude to maximize their placement possibilities in collaboration with various organisations.

Since Presidency University is relatively newly established, when compared to LPU, thus the alumni network and organisation connect is not that strong as of now. Faculty at both institutes are highly qualified and impart in-depth knowledge. A student with diligence can excel in any field.

Sharda University:

• Overall 350+ companies worldwide participate in the recruitment process every year which includes 150+ MNCs and 30+ fortune companies.

• Top recruiters include Amazon, IBM, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Accenture, WIPRO, Infosys.

• MBA course has a placement record of 100% at Sharda University.

• 91% of the students pursuing B.Tech get placed at top IT companies with an average salary of 12 LPA.

• The highest domestic CTC offered for a CSE graduate to date is 65LPA for B.Tech and 54LPA in case of an MBA program.

• 600+ students were recruited on campus in 2019.

The placement rate varies with the branch/course you opt for. Both the institutes are known for its student satisfaction and experience with good placement statistics. Aspirants must decide about which is best for them by going through given parameters.

Coming to the placements offered at LPU, the highest overall package offered to a student was in the CSE branch of the engineering department. The offer was of 42 LPA and was made by Microsoft to Tanya Arora, a final year engineering student in the CSE branch of the batch of 2020. According to the placement statistics of the institution, there has been a massive increase in the highest package offered this year as compared to the previous years’ records with last year’s highest package being 31 LPA and in the years prior to that the highest packages offered were in the mid 20 lakhs range per annum.

The maximum no. of offers was made by Cognizant followed by Capgemini, Amazon, Bosch, Wipro and Tech Mahindra. More than 130 companies offered packages more than that of 5LPA. as compared to around 45 over the last two years. 3 students of the CSE branch in engineering were also recruited by Amazon in the field of AI for packages around 28 LPA.

The average packages of the CSE students range from 3.5 LPA to 6 LPA. To add to this, there were also a significant no. of offers that were made from companies like SAP Labs, Synopsys India, Hindustan Unilever – Ltd., TCS, CEAT and Flipkart.

The placement drives organized by the Division of Career Services along with the various job fairs that were regularly conducted helped the students in getting better and reasonable placements. Rather this resulted in Cognizant hiring 550 students on the first day itself. All this had played a role in the university being recognized by the National Employability Award for producing one of the most employable students in universities and having the best placement rate.
