I am a BTech Mechanical graduate from LPU. Here is an honest review on the placement scenario at LPU (in engineering)-
The placement scenario is poor for Civil, Mechanical and Electrical. Few companies visit these departments for placements, and hire a maximum of 5-10 students in total. But if someone knows basic coding, they can sit for IT placements.
Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, etc. visit the CSE/IT departments for mass hiring. Very few core companies visit the ECE department for recruitments, so the students rely on IT companies. A mere 40/50 out of 1000 ECE students get hired by an Electronics company from the campus. The IT companies mass hire students at a CTC of around 3.5 LPA.
This is the engineering placement scenario at LPU.
I am a second year B.Tech CSE student at LPU. Here is the official data for 2023 B.Tech CSE placements at the university-
Here is a list of top recruiters and the CTC offered by them during 2023 B.Tech CSE placements at LPU-
Company Name | CTC offered | Role |
---|---|---|
Arcesium | 40 LPA | - |
Texas Instruments | 32 LPA | - |
UKG | 32 LPA | Software engineer |
Infineon | 24-25 LPA | - |
Natwest | 16 LPA | Software engineer |
Finxera | 16 LPA | Associate java/nodejs |
These were the B.Tech CSE placement highlights for LPU. The 2024 placements are currently ongoing, and the placement data is yet to be released.
Both KIIT and LPU are considered as top private universities for engineering. But I can only speak in favour of LPU as I have done my education at LPU.
I interacted with my friends at LPU who have done their BTech CSE. More than 500+ recruiters visit the campus for placements every year. BTech CSE placements at LPU recorded INR 42 lakhs as the highest salary package. Additionally, LPU had 110+ recruiters from top colleges like IITs, IIMs, and NITs. The highest monthly stipend for any kind of internship at LPU is around 80k.
Tanya Arora, a final year BTech CSE student secured INR 42 lakh job offer from Microsoft. Amazon also offered INR 28 lakhs package. Utkarsh secured a position at Google HQ in Silicon Valley with a package of INR 1 crore.
This I hope proves my point that LPU is better for CSE than KIIT.
I am an alumnus of LPU, but my honest opinion is based on my personal experience. LPU offers good infrastructure, faculty, academics, and placements. Though placements depend on the students’ effort and dedication, it is also a college’s responsibility to bring in good companies.
IBM, Microsoft, Google, Infosys, Bharti Airtel, Maruti, Larsen & Toubro, DLF, Nokia Siemen, Indian Navy, HDFC Bank, Ranbaxy, Royal Bank of Scotland, Tata, Wipro, Accenture, Convergys, Reliance, Dell, Taj Hotels, Provogue, Nestle, Coca Cola, Barclays, Deloitte, etc. are some of the companies that visit the LPU campus for hiring.
Moreover, LPU is positioned 50th in the NIRF 2023 Engineering Rankings.
Based on all these reasons, and out of my own positive experience of studying at LPU, I would recommend the university for higher studies.
The MBA placements at LPU are far better and one of the best in current times. Here are some highlights from the latest placements for MBA at LPU-
LPU Placements Particulars | LPU Placements Details |
---|---|
Highest Salary Offered | INR 29.3 LPA |
Average Salary Offered for Top 10% | INR 13.60 LPA |
Highest Internship Stipend Offered | INR 75,000 Per Month |
No. of Offers | 400+ |
I hope these statistics have provided you with relevant insight regarding MBA placements at LPU.
When it comes to choosing between LPU and Rayat Bahra University for BCA, both are equally good, but if you want to focus on placements and studies, Rayat Bahra University would be a better option.
Rayat Bahra University has a 100% placement record, which is a great achievement. It has been ranked highly by many external agencies, which shows the quality of education and infrastructure the university provides.
In terms of faculty, the university has highly qualified professors who are dedicated to providing the best education to the students. The university also provides additional inputs to the students to help them do well in placement drives.
You should carefully consider your options before making a decision about which university to join. It is important to choose a university that will provide you with the best possible education and opportunities for your future career.
I have completed my UG from LPU. LPUoffers excellent faculty in all the departments, scholarships and 100% placements. These are the reasons why I chose LPU over other colleges/universities for my UG degree.
1057 recruiters participated during the 2023 LPU placements. Both national and multinational companies visit LPU annually for placements. The list of major companies that recruit from LPU includes- Amazon, Cognizant, Infosys, Adobe, Microsoft, Intel, Capgemini, L&T, Cisco, etc. The maximum package offered to engineering graduates at LPU was INR 54.75 LPA in 2023.
Thus, LPU stands out from other institutions in terms of its academics and placements. You must consider this university for your higher studies.
Since I am doing BTech from LPU and I did research a lot about these colleges before enrolling in LPU, I can say LPU is better in terms of placements.
Some notable placements include:
I have done my MBA from LPU. LPU is one of the top private universities in India. The placements in LPU are what make it stand out from the rest of the universities.
Presidency University is a relatively newly established institute in 2013 whereas LPU was founded in 2006. LPU was ranked 99th for the overall by NIRF and Presidency University Bangalore was awarded with University of the year 2018 by EduTech review.
Placements Stats:
Presidency University, Bangalore:
Lovely Professional University, Punjab:
Since Presidency University is relatively newly established, when compared to LPU, thus the alumni network and organisation connect is not that strong as of now. Faculty at both institutes are highly qualified and impart in-depth knowledge. A student with diligence can excel in any field.
