VIT is a dynamic hub for aspiring engineers and tech enthusiasts. If you're gearing up for a journey in engineering or simply curious about life on this campus, you're in for a treat. At VIT, academic excellence meets a whirlwind of activities, friendships, and opportunities. VIT enjoys the freedom to shape its curriculum and calendar, ensuring that your education aligns with industry needs and market trends.
In summary, VIT offers a balanced college life with academics, extracurricular activities, and memorable moments. While it may not be as prestigious as an IIT, it certainly stands out among engineering colleges, making it a good choice for aspiring engineers.
Life at VIT isn’t much different than any other college in Pune. The only difference is that VIT Pune is autonomous. So, it has the freedom to determine its own curricular, grading system, and calendar.
There are options to join various teams such as Speakers club, Robocon, SAE, collegiate club, IEEE, etc. The faculties are friendly so are the seniors. You won’t need to buy books from outside. The college library has a good collection of books. There is also a reference and journal collection that you can refer to.
Each academic year usually has 3 months long holiday other than the 1-2 day holidays. Various events take place around the academic year such as Vishwakarandak (inter-departmental competition), Melange (inter-college competition). There are many hangout places inside the campus, i.e. Boat Club, Minus 2, New Poona Bakery, etc. Outside the campus, there aren’t many hangout spots.
The placement scenario at VIT is pretty good. In recent years the average CTC was 4-5 LPA. Many reputed companies visit the campus placement.
