Firstly you need to determine the department you are interested in. You can choose between branches like CSE, IT, ECE, Mechanical, and EE as per your inclinations.

• Qualifying Examination: You should have completed their 12th standard or equivalent examination from a recognized board/university with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
• Marks Required: If you are a general category candidate, you should have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the 12th standard examination.

Apart from scoring more than 50% in your PCM class 12th, you also have to appear in any exam MHT-CET OR JEE Mains. Then You need to apply through DTE’s CAP rounds.

Based on the recent cutoffs you cannot get any branch at MIT Pune in the first round. However, you might get Civil or Chemical in the second round and Mechanical in the third.

It’s impossible to get any branch at VIT Pune unless you have a caste certificate or other such certificates to help you out with the cutoffs. The overall cutoff for MHT-CET is 93.32 - 98.82 percentile.
