VJTI is an AICTE approved institute whereas MNIT is an AICTE, as well as MHRD, approved college. Further, in order to establish which institute is better various aspects like rankings, placements, eligibility, and fees including the courses offered. The following points mentioned highlight these categories in both colleges:

Rankings:

VJTI Mumbai:

  • The college ranked no. 4 in the zone wise ranking by India Today.
  • It ranked no. 84 in the top 100 engineering institutes in India according to MHRD in 2016.

MNIT Jaipur:

  • The college ranked no. 35 according to NIRF’s engineering rankings in 2020.
  • According to the Week, MNIT ranked no. 23 in 2020.

Courses:

VJTI Mumbai:

  • The courses offered here range from UG, PG, Diploma, and Ph.D.
  • Currently, about 9 B. Tech degrees are offered and 9 specializations in M. Tech degrees.
  • These include Civil Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical engineering, and others.

MNIT Jaipur:

  • The college offers a number of specializations in streams like Science, Management, Design, and Engineering.
  • Some of the degrees offered include B. Tech, B. Arch, and M. Sc as well as MBA.
  • Students are accepted through various entrance tests like GMAT, XAT, GATE, etc.

  • About 234 companies visit the institute annually with some of the popular recruiters including Capgemini, Wipro, Ambuja Cement, etc.

MNIT Jaipur:

  • For the batch of 2018, about 431 students were placed with the highest salary package being 40 LPA and an average package of 8.1 LPA offered.
  • With 160 different companies visiting the college, some of the organizations hiring students include Amazon, Airtel, Tata Steel, Honeywell, etc.

While there is not a major difference in fees between the two colleges, placement and course diversity wise, MNIT is better than VJTI.
