One of my friends is pursuing BDes from IIT Hyderabad, so I think I’m in a better position to tell you about the design department.

And this why here you’ll find better research and work-related opportunities which will be helpful for your design career. The faculty of the design department are well educated and also they know the practical tricks for explaining difficult topics very easily.

The department offers many programs listed as follows:

• Bachelor of Design (BDes)
• Master of Design (MDes): IIT Hyderabad offers both MDes by Project and MDes by Practice programs.

Other than that their program helps students prepare for product design and visual communication careers by emphasizing hands-on experience. Also, from a placement point of view, IIT Hyderabad has the upper hand. In the Bachelor of Design (BDes) program IIT Hyderabad has an impressive average placement rate of more than 95%.
