IIT Roorkee belongs to the set of elite IITs, and holds a lot of prestige for its engineering courses.

IIT Roorkee is ranked #8 Overall, and #5 in the Engineering & Innovation category by NIRF 2023 Ranking. NIRF stands for “National Institutional Ranking Framework”. This framework is used by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India to rank institutions of higher education in the country.
