Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur is part of the premier NIT engineering institutes of India. It is ranked 28 overall by NIRF 2020. It is also considered an institute of national importance, according to the government of India. It provides a number of engineering courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. levels.

Institute of Chemical Technology has received an A++ accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council as well as the Ministry of Human Resource Development. It has been claimed to be the 18th best institute for Engineering by NIRF rankings.

Courses Offered:

  • VNIT provides engineering courses in 8 different fields of engineering. These include Chemical, Civil, Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical, Metallurgical, and Mining Engineering. In their master's courses, they also provide a number of different specializations.

  • Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai provides courses in B.Tech, M.Tech, B.Pharm, Bachelor of Chemical Engineering, and Master’s of Chemical Engineering as a specialization.

Campus:

  • VNIT has a well-developed campus with several computer systems and curated labs. There are several hostel facilities throughout the campus with 24/7 medical facilities and cafeterias. Apart from this they also provide recreational and sports facilities for all students.

  • ICT has 3 campuses and each campus is 16 acres each. It provides a feel of the corporate world to the students and provides all facilities in their few buildings.

Placements:

VNIT:

It is famous for its campus placement opportunities.

  • It invites over 110 companies for its placements every year including Goldman Sachs, Hindalco, Morgan Stanley, Fidelity Investments, Sling Media Pvt Ltd, AVAYA India, JP Morgan Services, L&T Group, Bajaj Auto, Godrej Industries, Hyundai Mobis, Vedanta Ltd, and many more.

  • There were over 400 UG students given placements last year.

  • The average CTC offered was 6 LPA and the highest CTC offered was 41 LPA.

ICT Mumbai:

  • It has a placement record of 90% placements.

  • Major employers include BPCL, Pidilite industries, Johnson & Johnson, TATA Power, Nerolac, etc.

  • The highest package offered was 18 LPA with the average being 5 LPA.

Thus it completely depends on the students and which college they want to pursue for their future.
