Course Information:
The M.Tech in civil engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Srinagar is a 2-year post-graduation full-time course.
The fees for the course are around 2 lakhs(approximately).
The course provides specialization in structural and geotechnical engineering, transportation engineering, water resource engineering, and planning.
To get admission a student should score a minimum of 60% in graduation. Students are also required to have a valid GATE score.

The labs for students are well equipped with the latest technology and tools.
The library is well stocked with the latest publications, journals, and books.
High-speed Wi-Fi is available all over the campus.
Placements:
Campus placement opportunities are less for MTech Civil as compared to branches like Communication and Information Technology.
Some good companies do come to hire students but only a small proportion get jobs.
Companies like IISC Bangalore, NTPC, ABB, L&T InfoTech hire students.
Other students need to seek jobs themselves by applying at various companies off-campus.
The average CTC offered in the 2020 placement drive was around 9 LPA. Whereas, the highest package went up to 19.56 LPA.
M.Tech in civil engineering is a good course. Students get a lot of exposure and facilities on campus.
