Should I join Taxila Business School or RCM Bangalore or drop a year and prepare for better?

I think you should prepare for better. This option is however demanding but reliable. It requires you to give up a year, work extremely hard (because better B-schools are better for a reason), and persevere even in the face of uncertainty.

I would recommend that you first reflect on why you want to pursue an MBA. Most people pursue an MBA to get a better job.

Those who make it to the best B-Schools, go a step further:

  • They truly understand why an MBA is necessary for their career.
  • Also, in order to stand out in a highly competitive pool of applicants, the best B-Schools invariably attract year after year. They must have a strong narrative about who they are and why they want to do an MBA.
  • You must also consider factors like fees; some of the best schools, such as ISB, are not relatively affordable and require a significant initial investment.

Talk to people who have graduated from your desired institute before taking a gap year. Determine for yourself whether those schools are a good fit for you. Weigh all these points, their benefits and drawbacks, and you'll discover that the decision you eventually make will be based on facts, logic, and, to some extent, intuition, rather than silliness.

How is RCM Bangalore?

Khushboo Shafi Posted On : March 7th, 2024

RCM Bangalore is a good college for MBA/PGDM studies.

It offers good placements. The highest package touches around 45 LPA, and the average package stands at around 8.5 LPA. Most of the students receive placement offers, and some even end up with more than one. Wipro, KPMG, HDFC Bank, Tata Motors, Volvo, GE, TCS, Wells Fargo, ITC and Barclays are some of the companies that visit the campus for recruitment.

The college infrastructure is decent, and all the necessary facilities are provided to the students. These include modern classrooms, library, indoor and outdoor game facilities, etc. The college canteen serves good quality and hygienic food. The campus is great. Sports like cricket and volleyball are quite popular among the college students.

The college faculty is very helpful and supportive. They teach with enthusiasm and in an interesting manner. Most of them are IIT and IIM alumni, or have good industrial experience. This is why they are all highly experienced and skilled. Boot camps organized in global business exposures are quite interesting, and they are taught by foreign faculty members.

Overall, RCM Bangalore is a good choice for an MBA/PGDM. You can consider joining it for your studies.

Sayantani Barman Posted On : March 7th, 2024

RCM Bangalore offers 90%+ placements to its MBA/PGDM students. The highest package touches around 45 LPA, and the average package stands at around 8.5 LPA.

A good number of students end up receiving multiple offers from different companies. Some of the top companies that regularly visit the campus for recruitments include Wipro, KPMG, HDFC Bank, Tata Motors, Volvo, GE, TCS, Wells Fargo, ITC, Barclays, etc.

My brother received four offer letters during his campus placements from ICICI Bank, Bajaj Finance, Extramarks and Honeywell. He ended up working in Honeywell as a Supply Chain & Project Manager. The college faculty is skilled, experienced and supportive. The campus environment is ideal for studies.

Overall, RCM Bangalore provides good placement opportunities to its students.
