Here is the eligibility criteria for admission into MSc Data Science at IITM-

•  A Bachelor's degree of 3 or more years in Engineering/ Science (in a numerate discipline) from a recognized university.
•  60% or higher for 2:1 equivalency (1st class) in Bachelor’s.
• Students graduating in the current academic year are also eligible to apply. They must provide requisite documents during admission. 

Numerate degree refers to essentially having the following skills-

• Anyone who graduated from university with a degree that contains a high concentration of mathematics skills. These degrees include Computer Science, Physics, and Engineering.
• Other degrees like Astrophysics, Data Science, Decision Science, Econometrics, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Physics and Statistics are also acceptable.

 English Language criteria 

Students who have not completed their degree from a majority speaking English country, as defined by the UKVI will be required to provide evidence of successful completion of a recognised English Language test.
