What is the difference between IIFT Delhi and IIFT Kolkata in terms of quality of education, study environment, and placements?

IIFT is a deemed university having campuses in New Delhi, Kolkata, and Kakinada which offers various post-graduate management degree courses. Its flagship program i.e. MBA in International Business is offered at all three campuses.

Let us try to compare the Delhi and the Kolkata campus of IIFT in detail –

Campus –

• The Delhi campus at South Delhi was opened in 1963 while the Kolkata campus was opened in 2006.
• Both have their own permanent campuses now.
• Kolkata campus being new will be swanky and better to look at than that of the older Delhi campus. However, all basic facilities such as hostels, libraries, gyms, play areas, etc. are available at both campuses.

Education –

• Both the campuses follow the same pattern and pedagogy.
• But historically it has been seen that the Kolkata campus has done slightly better than the Delhi campus academically.
• You can choose the same electives, the same number of courses, etc. Even some of the professors are also rotated between the two campuses.
• The visiting faculty are however decided by their respective directors. It should be noted that the Delhi campus is also equally good.

Placements – They are more or less the same.

Both the campuses are equally good and you cannot go wrong on any one of these.
