What integrated course can I get into at BITS Goa with a mark of 275?

BITS Pilani is nearly impossible to beat at any score lower than 305.

Unless you are in an "IIT," or unless you are only concerned with the college brand name, the subjects you will study in the future. To be honest, your skills and knowledge will get you everything, but stream allows you to become eligible to sit for the jobs you want. You should emphasize focusing on the stream rather than the college brand name because many colleges have eligibility criteria, i.e. CSE/IT students can apply but others cannot, and thus other students are not exposed to enough opportunities, as is the case at the college where I did my undergrad and many other colleges.

The cutoff is very hard to predict and sometimes as it mostly ends up exactly the opposite of the prediction.

• The cutoff for integrated courses for the year 2016 was around 298 and it was predicted that the cutoff for the next year is on the basis of this year’s cutoff.
• However, the cutoff turned out to be the exact opposite. The predicted cutoff was around 300-305 but the final cutoff was around 200.
• The cutoff had a drop when compared to the previous year from 298 to 200.
• The cutoff for the year 2020 was around 310.

There are several reasons for a drop in the cutoff and the cut-off is considered as a relative thing. Factors that affect the cutoff are: -

• Difficulty Level: If the questions in the paper are easy and answered correctly by the majority then the cutoff increases whereas if the questions are hard and are incorrectly answered by the majority then the cutoff decreases.
• Number of students: More the number of students the higher the cutoff rises.

The cutoffs are always relative and there is nothing an individual can do to affect the cutoff so it is better to focus on the studies and give your best shot.
