What is the mess food menu in IIM Ahmedabad? Can you get non-vegetarian food in the mess?

Members of the Mess and Vendor Relations Committee decide the mess menu at IIM Ahmedabad. The Mess Secretary ultimately notifies the IIMA community about the menu. 

The mess caterers give a list of items from which the final menu is drawn. The list contains dishes from the Indian cuisine, with a larger number of Gujarati items. It also contains non vegetarian options. 

Apart from the mess, the campus also has other food outlets with good food options. You can visit these outlets too.

The mess of IIM Ahmedabad is on the list of messes that have passed the food quality audit. So you can raise your expectations for the food here.

Apart from the restaurants, IIM Ahmedabad has 2 canteens. One is in the Old Campus while the other is in the New Campus.

For PGPX (1st year MBA students) food from the New Campus canteen was included in the fees. The canteen served the best food one can avail at a mess. Non-veg is also served frequently. You get a lot of options for both veg and non-vegetarian in a 3 buffet system.

For PGPs (2nd year students), food is available at the Old Campus canteen. Here they have to pay for their own meal.
