Information and Communication Technology (ICT) at PDPU started recently and there have been no placements so far. But according to the industry demand and the placement statistics for other branches at PDPU it is safe to say ICT will have a good placement record. Admission & Eligibility: Admission in PDPU is through JEE main. The student must have passed 10+2 exams with maths & science. There are 120 seats available for ICT. The cut off in JEE main for securing admission for ICT in PDPU is around 857 – 1236 for general candidates & 6325 – 6637 for candidates under SC reservation. Fee Structure: The first-year fee for ICT at PDPU is INR 2.53 lakhs. The total fee for 4 years will come to around INR 9.37 lakhs (not including hostel fees). Course syllabus: ICT is a blend of ECE and computer engineering. It is perfect for students who are into programming and electronics. The syllabus is very thorough and job-oriented. The subjects in the first and second semester are the same as Civil, Chemical & Computer Engineering The course will become more focused on ICT from the third semester with subjects like Data & file structures, Signals & Systems, Analog & digital electronics, Computer organization & programming, Design & analysis of algorithms, Communication systems, etc. Faculty: That ICT branch at PDPU has a well-experienced, dedicated group of faculty. Almost all the teachers are Ph.D. holders in their respective fields. Placements: According to the placement details of 2020, the highest CTC received by the students of ICT was around 9 LPA. Some of the major recruiters at the institute were TCS, Cloud 24*7 lnc, L&T Technology Services, etc. ICT in PDPU is a good option for students interested in programming and electronics. PDPU has a highly experienced and qualified teaching faculty for ICT students. The trends in the industry suggest that the demand for ICT graduates will increase.

PDPU is a good option for pursuing ICT. The course curriculum is designed beautifully. The course structure is such that students get to learn from other resources as well. ICT bridges the gap between CE and ECE. The course outcome is pretty good in the field of technology. The faculties of the department are helpful and cooperative. PDPU placement highlights show the average and highest CTC to be INR 6.09 LPA and INR 25 LPA respectively.
