Is Annamalai University good to do an MBA in distance education?

Annamalai University distance education MBA isn’t a good option. The distance education programs offered by the university aren’t approved by UGC and DEB. UGC released a public notice on 25th March 2022, directing students not to take admission in any ODL programs offered by the institute. It will be better if you look for other universities for MBA.

Annamalai University doesn’t have UGC accreditation. On a notice dated March 25, UGC declared the ODL degrees at Annamalai University invalid. UGC also warned students against taking admission in any courses offered in distance learning mode by Annamalai University. Since the university doesn’t have the required approval from higher education regulators.

So, Annamalai University isn’t a good option for pursuing an MBA through distance learning mode.

Yes, Annamalai University is good to do an MBA in distance education. Given below are some of the details about the University and the course.

Annamalai University offers MBA in distance education through The Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) the DDE is approved by Distance Education Council of India and is equipped with all necessary facilities like study centers, adequate teaching faculty and administrative set-up of its own.
The University offers MBA in 8 different specializations- E-Business, International System, Human Resource Management, Marketing Management, Financial Management, Information System, Hospital Management, and MBA General.
The Duration of the course is 2 years and the maximum time in which a student can complete this course is 7 years.
While all the specializations are offered in English medium, MBA General is offered in both English and Tamil medium.
The fees for the 2 year MBA program is around INR 26000 in total, which is affordable.
The overall placement rate for Annamalai University is 80% and the average placement package received by the students is around 2-3 LPA. Whereas, the highest placement package ranges between 8-10 LPA.
