BE from RV College of Engineering (RVCE)

Aerospace Engineering is a new branch of RV College of Engineering. The department has good faculties. The placement record of the branch is average. According to the recent highlights of RV College of Engineering, students receive an average CTC of around INR 6 LPA. Textron, Boeing, Airbus, etc. are some of the major recruiters for Aerospace.

If you want a career in Aerospace, it’s better to go to foreign universities. India lacks infrastructure for the development of its own Aerospace industry.

RV College of Engineering is a decent engineering college, but it has long to go to be known as a good Aerospace Engineering college. The reasons are discussed below.

  • The branch is still new, therefore, the alumni network for Aerospace is not wide enough. Aerospace Engineering has no good scope in India. Almost all the colleges are struggling to produce decent Aerospace engineers whose competency is at par with developed countries.
  • The main drawback is that there is barely any private company for Aerospace Engineering. Even if there are, most companies are not decent enough for the campus placements. The produced engineers either have an option to go for government jobs or settle for lower pay.
  • The laboratories and other facilities like equipment and technology are not good enough to excel in this stream.

The table below gives a brief overview of the Aerospace Engineering program offered by the RV College of Engineering.

Aerospace Engineering is quite a prestigious degree. The course should be pursued only by the top-tier colleges in the world. The reason being the quality of learning that you absorb and the exposure to top recruiters and companies. Only the top 10 engineering colleges in India offer exposure to reputed companies that hire Aerospace Engineers.

As of now, a fair evaluation for the Aerospace Engineering program offered by RV College of Engineering can’t be given since the degree is quite new and only the first batch graduated in 2018.
