What is the worst thing to be in IIM Ahmedabad?

If you are joining IIM Ahmedabad, here are some things that you may find difficult to deal with.

• The environment on campus is quite competitive. You will start to realize the academic workload from the first week itself. 
• You will be on your own. If you can’t grasp the coursework, you will get help from your seniors and peers but it’s only up to a point.
• In your first year, there is not much freedom. You will have compulsory sessions, placement sessions, etc. But this teaches you to operate within constraints. 

Life becomes easier once you settle in. 

There are some cons of even entering one of the most valued Management colleges of the country, i.e. IIM Ahmedabad. Some of which are discussed below. 

• Competition: As soon as you enter the college you will find students comparing their ranks, quiz marks, etc. From the academics to the placements you will find comparisons everywhere.
• Working it all alone: If you are stuck at any point in time, your friends, batch-mates, and seniors will be there but up to some extent. You need to figure out a lot on your own.
• Restriction: In the first year, everything is mandatory whether it is your daily sessions, dinners, or placement sessions you have to attend them all. But then they help you in the future aspects so it’s not a total bane also. You will find a freer atmosphere in IITB.
• Judgment: You will be judged based on your physical appearance ranging from your clothes to your personality and your CV. 
• Lack of decent Infrastructure: Although IIM has great architecture, it lacks proper infrastructure. You will find mosquitoes everywhere, fewer facilities via bicycles, and waterlogging.

Although the Institue has cons then its pros overpower them and you will have the most lovable feeling studying in IIM Ahemdabad.
