What questions should I expect at an IIM Ahmedabad interview?

You should consider the following things while going for an interview at IIM Ahmadabad:

1. No matter how good your academics are, you should always be prepared with your certificates and credentials. This will help you stand out in the crowd as there are lots of candidates who will be better than you.
2. During the interview, be ready with your logical opinion and viewpoints. Don’t say anything illogical and not related to the topic.
3. There are no particular set of questions for the interview. Most of the questions will be unexpected so be prepared for that.
4. There will question related to your viewpoint and they are neither right nor wrong. You will have to give a proper explanation of your viewpoint.
5. Be confident in the interview and don’t be afraid and hesitant while speaking anything in the interview.

If you are a fresher then the interview questions will be related to your subject and if you have experience then they would ask you about your past experience. Try not to repeat any kind of keywords or jargon while speaking because the interviewer might ask about it and you should know the meaning of the words as well.

One of my friends shared his experience in the interview as follows:

1. The first few questions were related to his technical background. These questions were asked to know his knowledge about technical skills.
2. The panel then asked him about sports and how much he is interested in the same. These questions were asked in order to open up and know him better.
3. The panel members were exquisite to know that why he wanted to come to IIM A. For which he replied that he loved this place and is interested in traveling as well. These questions are asked in order to know your compatibility.

Rest most of the questions were general discussion questions. Some questions were related to your family background etc. Always try to answer honestly with logic and use your humor as well while answering that becomes your plus point.
