Is the IIIT Pune a good college?
Yes, IIIT Pune is a good college. It offers good academics. Classes are regular. It has a great faculty base. The faculty members are supportive. You can consult your HOD and any senior faculty member regarding any doubt. The institute offers good infrastructural facilities to the students. There are separate hostel accommodations for boys and girls.
IIIT Pune placements have been good for the last few years. According to the latest placement highlights, B.Tech students received the highest CTC of INR 36 LPA.
IIIT Pune has technical, sports, and cultural clubs that you can join.

Yes, IIIT Pune is a good college in terms of academics, placement opportunities, and placements. The course curriculum followed doesn’t include subjects like Physics, Chemistry, basic civil engineering, basic mechanical engineering, etc. You will be studying computing or electronics subjects right from the beginning of your course.
IIIT Pune campus has good connectivity from Pune Station and Shivajinagar. Pune is one of the vertexes of the silicon triangle so you will have good placement opportunities. According to the placement statistics of 2020-21, the average and highest CTC received by the students was INR 14.5 LPA and INR 36 LPA.

One of my friends got admission to IIIT Pune in 2016 and this was the same question that was arising in his mind. It was in the same year that the college was established.
Because it is directly controlled by the central government, it is definitely a good college. It also has a location advantage as Pune is one of the major cities in India.
When it comes to cut-off, for the first year itself, the rank went up to 10500 for round 1. This is quite high because it was established in the same year.
