Amrita and VIT are very different from each other.

Amrita University has a controlled environment, high focus on academics, and good placements. For a bright career, Amrita is a great place. But its campus life is very dull. One has to find a source of entertainment and growth on our own.

VIT offers a vibrant and lively campus. But one has to mostly rely on self study.

Both the colleges are good for a B.Tech. Make a choice based on your own caliber and priorities.

B.Tech from Amrita University (2019)

Amrita University offers a good B.Tech program. Compared to VIT, it is better.

It follows a great syllabus along with a decent grading system.
The faculty pool is great. The professors are well-experienced and dedicated.
It offers good facilities to the students. The library is huge. Four years of engineering isn’t enough to explore it completely.
The campus environment is great. You will get good sports facilities along with a swimming pool.
According to the highlights of Amrita University B.Tech placements, the average CTC is INR 5.8 LPA.

Overall, the B.Tech program offers decent facilities along with good placements.

The Coimbatore campus of Amrita University is excellent for students interested in being competent engineers. It offers a challenging syllabus.
The syllabus followed by Amrita University is excellent, having no scope for extreme memorization. There are basic and intellectual questions from the subjects.
Students at Amrita University have a lot of scope in fields of research and innovation. Usually, there are several peers in every class who are interested in projects. Projects are very important during the course as the syllabus doesn’t have all topics that are needed for a career.
Professors at Amrita University help students a lot in terms of projects and research works. There are proper labs for every possible kind of research in engineering at Amrita University, so it is easy for students to think of innovation while being in the institute.
There are plenty of sports options inside the campus of Amrita University, including basketball, badminton, tennis, swimming, etc.
