Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs): What are the facilities at an IIT hostel?

My brother is from IIT Bombay, so I know about the hostel facilities there. There are various hostels in IIT Bombay for both girls and boys.

Important factors regarding hostel facilities:

• 24/7 High-speed unlimited internet connection is given. You will not get bored.
• Every hostel has its own mess and canteen, with food available until 2 a.m. The institute regulates all rates. You can get a wide range of non-vegetarian options. Currently, there are 16 hostels on campus.
• The hostels have their own Gym, and SAC (students activity center) has a shared Gym.
• The hostels have indoor sports facilities such as table tennis, pool tables, and foosball.
• Every hostel has a TV room, a study room/library, and a computer room with dozens of PCs.
• Each hostel has three or four grounds with facilities and accessories for the sports such as Football, basketball, cricket, and badminton courts.
• Some hostels even have a dance and music room with instruments.
• Every hostel has a washing machine and a dryer on every floor (some exceptions though).
• They also have shops such as Xerox and other necessities such as snacks, stationery, electronics, etc.
• Single rooms are for final-year and post-graduate students.
• Some hostels have a cycle pool where you can rent a bicycle using your ID card.
• Any student is welcome to visit any room in other hostels. (That includes the girls' hostel as well.)
• There is one co-ed hostel as well.
