One of my friends was called for an interview at IMT Ghaziabad. This was back in 2019. Here is his interview experience.

  • It was his first interview of the season, so he was both excited and nervous. Registrations started around 12, and by 1 it was finished, which was followed by a half-hour break.
  • After that, they were escorted to the place where the interview was scheduled. There was a student interaction session with AdCom Rap for a half-hour.

He was first in his panel, and there were two interviewers. After sharing pleasantries like ‘What is the meaning of your name’, etc. He was asked about his projects in engineering. He told them about his projects on diabetic retinopathy, and his research work on the comparison of supervised and unsupervised algorithms. This was followed by questions like-

  • What is unsupervised and supervised learning?
  • Why are they used?
  • What branch are they part of?
  • Where did you find the dataset form?
  • So you are talking about Twitter analysis, do you have any idea bout the Twitter CEO controversy?

And more such questions related to his project. Which he tried to answer satisfactorily.

He was also asked about his placement, his birthplace, the political situation in his hometown.

The interview lasted for 15-20 minutes. It was a good first interview experience for my friend.
