CSE at NIT Allahabad will be a better choice than selecting the IT branch at IIIT Allahabad. I have a few friends from NIT A and they vouch for the CSE course.

NIT Allahabad is among the top 5 NITs in the country. The faculties, infrastructure, culture. Academics are all good in this college.
The branch of CSE will be much better for you than the IT branch because CSE deals with both hardware and software while IT deals with only software.
In the future, if you plan on doing a master’s in electronics you will get an advantage over IT degree holders.

The placement statistics of NIT Allahabad are as follows.

Average CTC offered	INR 10 LPA.
Highest CTC offered	INR 49 LPA.

You will be allowed to sit for placement drives of electronic companies. CSE branch focuses on both job and research while it is mostly job-oriented.
