Reality of RGUKT Basar

Remarks :

Based on SSC board marks and reservation too with a minimum admission fee of 10,000 according to reservation of students. Applications will be opened every year for students as our university is an integrated BTech college of 6years along with two years of intermediate offering for rural background students.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I wanted to be an aeronautical engineer but since our campus doesn't have one, I took Electronics and Communication Engineering. The faculty and student ratio is around 1:120. The faculty were mostly assistant professors who graduated from prestigious universities and institutions.

Placement Experience :

Placements here on campus are quite different from the talk it has outside. The intake of Core companies is very low and other branches except for CSE and ECE, are not even considered. The companies that arrive here are mostly IT and a few electronics and electrical related. A total of 83 companies visited last year in 2022 and an average of 60 percent of students were placed.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The basic fee we paid at the time of our admission is 10,000 per student, which is again based on caste reservation. Then later on we apply for scholarship which includes our academic fee and accommodation, mess fee. We get an AVG amount of 40,000 per year on scholarship which directly goes into campus accounts. Rather other students who are not eligible for scholarships need to pay 40000 and global students will pay around 1,40,000 per year

Campus Life :

In these 6yrs of my education, we went through only one Tech fest held in our intermediate 2nd year in the year 2020. Apart from that national college fest, regular events in different departments will be held accordingly. We have a minimal no of journals and sports too. Amenities in classrooms are quite good

Hostel Facilities :

We were allotted 3 students in a room which has a fan, tube light, socket board etc. Meals are good and anyhow need to adjust with what they provide. Menu sounds tasty and healthy but not in real. The moment we are admitted into college everything including accommodation will be provided by the Campus itself.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this to get a degree in computer science which I thought would be better for me. The course curriculum is good as of now. The faculty-and-student ratio is okay too. But all of the faculty here are contract-based I suppose but are of good knowledge. The faculty inspires students to gain knowledge and motivates them to be independent as much as possible. They train students to be disciplined and are strict in that term. The teachers are also well qualified and of a good experience. The term exams got postponed due to the weather conditions and state holidays but apart from that, every other exam is conducted timely. But I would blame the correction for the pass percentage of the students from the university, though you would find the paper to score well.

Great placement was there, but the packages were a bit less due to the recession. placement percent is around 98-99%. Many students go for higher studies, I am also thinking of doing MBA or preparing for UPSC. The highest packege this year was around 70-72 lpa.
