Course Curriculum Overview :

NIFFT is one of the oldest institutes providing manufacturing courses and has the best and finest Laboratory facilities in Metallurgy and materials like Sand Lab, Metallographic Lab, FMS Lab, Non-Destructive and Mechanical Testing Lab, Spectroscopy, etc. The faculty of the Institute are recruited with high eligibility standards, at par with INIs, and are exceptional in their area of expertise. The consistent passion and effort of faculty members in education, research, and industry-specific training and skill development. The faculties are well qualified. The teachers stick to the key and major parts of the syllabus and industrial exposure. The exams get a bit delayed from the given stipulated time. The question papers are of a good standard and students sticking to the concept will help them score well. Almost all students pass.

Internships Opportunities :

Tata Metaliks, Ayena, and many more companies provide paid internships. The students do internships in DRDO, DMRL, Midhani, CSR-NML, SAIL, RINL, Rail wheel plant, Vedanta, and many more core companies. The projects are taken under ferrous and nonferrous metals properties, mechanical testing, steel making, alloys, annealing, heat treatment of metals, Li-ion batteries reusability, Forging, Casting, Rolling, and many more.

The students are eligible for placements from the 7th-semester beginning. The campus offers pre-placements from the 5th semester. Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

As per the new fee structure for every semester is 51700 currently from the 2023 batch. Prior it was 30100. The cost of studying engineering is less than compared to many private and government institutions. The fee is really affordable for a reputed institution like NIFFT. The mess and hostel fees cost around 32750 per semester. Scholarships Merit cum Means scholarships for 2nd,3rd, and final-year students. Ministry of Steel scholarships for top five students in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering. National Scholarship for Higher Education for ST top five students. The Annual Cultural cum technical fest is JINKS Pranav which will be held during February or March as per Gymkhana Calendar. It is a three-day fest with technical events conducted from 9 am-5 pm and then followed by enthusiastic cultural events from the evening 6 pm to 12 am. The college has a world-class library in the technical field. The four-storeyed library's rich collection includes over 31000 books, 3560 bound volumes, and 215 current periodicals in Manufacturing, Metallurgy, Material Science, and allied areas. Hostel Facilities :

The hostel room is provided with one cot, one study table, and one cupboard. There is a tub light, night lamp, fan, and two sockets. The menu is quite decent and charges 125 rupees per day. The registration process is simple and comes with fees for the hostel of 5 months advanced prior. The mess fee is 3750 per month and the hostel establishment charges 9000 and seat rent, electricity and water rent is 5000 per semester.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Electrical engineering being a circuital branch has a wide range of possibilities ahead. It can also be considered as evergreen branch whose demand is atleast not going to end soon. Faculty here are PhD professionals but some might not like the teaching methodologies as it is quite different from the regular schooling/coaching methodologies. Term exams are strictly followed and on basis of regular intervals to check learning process. It is pretty easy to pass the exams if someone only pays attention in class or refer to notes by professors.
