Remarks :
Jee mains exam in 10+2 standard. I scored 96.3 percentile which is enough for home state people to clear the cutoff for admitting to NIT uttarakhand. I applied in JOSSA counselling where i got EEE in round 2 then in round 6 my seat was upgraded to ECE.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose this course because of my interest in IOT. Proffesors here are really helpful and have great experience in teaching their core subjects. Examinations are quite frequent, we have 2 mid term exams in one semester and then one end sem exam at the end of the semester.
Internships Opportunities :
Various known companies like CDAC ,C-DOT and Samsung visits out campus for placements, they provide good packages and internships to students . Many seniors have got their internships in second year only through government.
Placement Experience :
The placement and training cell at NIT UK is doing great works in past years with helping students get better opportunites in their 3rd year by getting interships from various companies to kickstart their careers out in the real world. The placement rate is quiet good and the average package of CSE is 14LPA .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
At first you have to pay whole semester fee during admission which includes your joosa counselling fee too. Fee waivier is also available on basis of family income if less than 1 lakh or between 1 to 5 lakh per annum. SC/St students have 0 tution fee. Various other scholarships are provided later during the semesters.
Campus Life :
Current NIT uttarakhand run in a temperory campus of govt polytechnic college and one ITI campus at srinagar uttarakhand, permanent campus is under construction in place known as Sumari which is nearby to srinagar, Various clubs like sports, cultural ,adventure and technical clubs are available for students to show their passion. Library is full of books of great authors for examination practices.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostels are available for both boys and girls of undergrad programme, the facilities include bedrooms with 3 beds and table , one social gathering area and the Mess is attached to hostel which is common to both boys and girls of all years. The food is just eatable and sometimes not eatable too :(
