Remarks

To be honest i applied only in St Edmunds for my Bachelors and even Masters because it was my first preferrence as i wanted to persue Social Work and there are other colleges too that offers bsw/msw but for me i preferred St Edmunds because they provide quality education right from the infrastructure to curricular activities to clubs which the students come up by themselves to workshops, seminars we get alot of opportunities to excel but at the end it depends on the student if they're willing to grab the opportunity. Also i wanted to study abroad for MSW to gain exposure but due to my health condition i cannot study abroad so i sticked to Edmunds since its really good. The admission process is quite easy and its eligible for students from various field ..Cuet marks are required but are mostly merit based. My admission process was easy since i secured high percentage I did not have to go through any interviews or exams and after paying the provisional fee to secure the seat i got the admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

37 Boys 12 2from nagaland some from manipur, 1 mizoram No sometimes students dont initiate and this generation day by day they are becoming dull ..completing masters just for the sake for getting a degree to get a job..in masters i feel the environment becomes abit dull because student who havent completed bsw and are from.various background so therefore there is dependency and lack of initiation from them

Internships Opportunities

3

We do get placements and internships for fieldwork experienxe but were not paid for other departments i dont know much I dont know about the others but for us the department of social work we get block placement after college and its up to us if we do well in oir intership we get the opportunity to work well

Placement Experience

2

Final placement for msw strarts after the 3rd semester for a period of 24 days..placed in communities....every students will be placed and its compulsory as its a part of the subject. The most prefered wouod be ngos or government jobs.. international ngos etc

Fees and Financial Aid

Okay starting from the fees 1st semester it is 66,150 then 2nd to 4th sem it is 64,900 so in a year 1 lakh 31 thousand is the fee structure..which means in 2years to complete masters 2lakhs andhalf we have to pay. For now i have already paid 20 ,000 for the admission the rest we have to pay 40,150 Compared to my colleages who have studied abroad the fees here in Shillong is more expensive..for them 1 lakh will be enough for 2years masters degree because thete fees comes somewhere betweeen 20 to 25 thousand per semester but there are other colleges too which are more expensive for example Assam don bosco university is more expensive than Edmunds Apart from the fees the students have to pay from their own pockets for their fieldworks expenditure which we always go twice a week so if we get placements in agencies which are far almost 500 to 700 it will cost us for thr taxi fare ,food etc. We also have to pay for our rural camp and study tour..which they take us abroad. Yes the college do provide scholardhips nad i've recieved the scholarship thrice. No the college fee is the same for everyone .

Campus Life

5

Sports excellent almost all indoor and outdoor games are provided..we have basketball court, cricket playground, common room to play carrom board ,table tennis room, badminton playground Yes its provided by college Yes gym is available to the students..witg many facilities Not yet swimming pool Yes almost all library books are present but tgeres still room for improvement ..yes we do have nlist where we can search books online. The collegw campus is big but not so far to go to the department it takes 10 mins to reach every depqrtments. Yes students are allowed to keep bikes outside the campus and there is one place kept only for students to park there vehicles No parents or friends are not allowed to stqy inside the campus or hostel. Yes the college have an infirmary. No the students are not allowed to hang out at night the college closes by 6 pm wvwn if there are college week by 7 30 the students qre expected to leave the college There are many clubs the dance club, cooking club, designing clubs, nss, ncc, qrt and craft clubs etc

Hostel Facilities

3

Yesboys and girls hosteIs are different I dont know much about hostel since i live with my parents. Yess but through some sources from my friend they dont get to choose they have 27 single rooms and one bathroom and washroom which is attached and the other which is used by everyone so the room which has a seperate bathroom is more costly than the others which are used together.. they have canteen but the food is the same as prepared in the college canteen .. for the feees they have to pay two installments There are two workers who takes care on the cleanliness if the hostel one in the morning the other at night. There are security guards each time they have to sign in sign outThe facilities provided in the hostel are geyser, almirah ,wifi, study table ,chair, bed, mattress ,iron one bathroom and washroom which is attached and the other which is used by everyone so the room which has a seperate bathroom is more costly than the others which are used together There are two cleaners who cleaned the hostels but the rooms they have to clean on their own. If there is no hostel they stay in pg or rented house

Exam Structure

For MSW in St edmunds we didnt have to go through any exams ,or interview they checked mostly on the percentage we just have to fill the entire forms correctly with our percentage ..after we finished our final exams i had a long break untill the class resume we got a break of almost 3 months..and our class started on the 4th of September 70 %above would be best to have a good chance to get admitted for MsW No.

Academics IIM Indore offers multiple programs ranging from the undergraduate level to doctoral programs (Ph.D). The courses are mostly spread across three terms in a year, with a fixed number of credits and sessions for each course and term. The curriculum is rigorous and there is a system of DCPs if a student fails in a course. Academic dishonesty is prohibited and an F is awarded for such cases. All the courses have relative grading and academic performance is a key component in the overall scenario. Time table is structured such that professors can take classes in any slot from 9 am till 9 pm everyday as all the programs are residential. Faculty A Ph.D. is necessary for all the core subject professors, for electives it depends on the department of the subject. There are professors who have their degrees from ISI, IITs, IIMs and other top universities of respective domains. After classroom interactions and research projects with professors is a common phenomenon. There are teaching associates with subject-specific specializations to help the students and faculty in academic tasks and evaluation purposes.

We didn’t get placements so I have almost zero idea regarding placements availability. All I know is that placements were only for BBA and MBA students. Placement offers came from Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore etc.
