Remarks

I have applied for Jamia millia Islamia and Jamia Hamdard, but unfortunately I didn't get admission in Jamia Millia. I was getting electronics there but I wanted CSE because I was interested in programming so I took admission in jamia hamdard. I got rejected in Jamia Millia Islamia, I applied for cse there but due to low percentile I didn't get admission. In Jamia Hamdard they take admission on the basis of Jee percentile, 12th percentage. Cutoff is like 60 above. If you have over 60 percentile, you can easily get admission in CSE.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

There are 60 students in my section but usually only 30-40 students attend daily. There are 15-18 girls and rest boys. There are few NRI students in our section from Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates. Yes sometimes we get marks on attendance.

Internships Opportunities

4

Internship we get from Internshala specially, but when we talk about placement, the average package is 3.5 lakh. And only few service based companies offers this. The companies that hire students in bulk for internships are mainly intershala and coding ninjas.

Placement Experience

4

3-4 months does it take for the placement to officially get over. No, everyone do not get placed. 90 % of the students remain unplaced in the final placements the companies that hire students in bulk for placements are Wipro, Infosys mainly.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fees - 95k / semester Examination fees - 5k Hostel fees - 1lakh for non ac and 1.5 lakh for ac / year I will pay 8 lakhs approx in 4 years. Fees is quite higher. There are no other expenses claimed from the university. Fees is same for every category. Yes they provide scholorship but I don't have exact data to how many they give.

Campus Life

4

There is a big sports complex for the students, you will get a big cricket stadium, badminton court, basket ball court, football ground, volleyball ground, gym, etc. A very good medical centre is there where students get 30% off on the bill. Overall campus life is fantastic. You will face no ragging and get a strict rule against violence. In our college IEEE JHSB is most important club. It is an international organization. Yes fests are there but not much in our department.

Hostel Facilities

4

Yes boys and girls hostel are separate, boys are not allowed in girls hostel. There are approx 2 boys hostel and 2 girls hostel. No, there is not first come first serve basis. They allot hostel on the basis of address of students. Yes are 4-5 canteen which are absolutely fantastic. Yes hostels are guarded. Facilities are average in non AC hostel. Yes there are common rooms and students share their rooms. Wash rooms are also common but we'll cleaned. Wifi, almirah, table, beds, everything is there. Food of hostel is also decent

Exam Structure

This year students faced open counseling. Jee is preferred over ever other exam, Jee percentile should be above 60 percentile to get cse and over 40 to get ECE. They don't take any interview. When you fill application form, you will have to submit your jee and 12th marksheet, on that basis they out the selection list and if you get selected they send you an offer letter and ask some documents to get it ready by n date. Documents like NOC, Migration certificate, drop year certificate. There are no quota offered. Sometimes donation works, like it's common if you give donation you can easily get admission.

Faculty

The course curriculum is easy since it is simplified and made available to the student through the school website. The good aspects of my course is the lab work where we get to interact directly with what we were taught in class . Every year we do two main exams since we have two semesters per year . Per semester we do midterm exams and main exams. In a day class around 5 to 6 depending on the number of subjects you do. The timing is from 9- 5 in the evening. Free time is at 1 oclock during lunch break and on the weekends when there is no lectures. The teaching methodology is that we have class work which is oral then lab work where we get hands on what we where taught in class. I admire the labs, since most government schools don’t have labs and in my university we have a functional lab. I don’t admire the washrooms since most of them are dirty. The attendance rule is that you are supposed to have 75% minimum attendance.

There is no placements provided by the college. In 2021, it organised a placement for final year students but don't know the data of placement. It was conducted for Gitarattan public school placement. And everyone doesn't get placed. In 2024, no such things happens so I can say that no placement is provided there. *Attaching the photo of SEP as there is no Placements done.*

Placement Experience:

1. Placement Timeline: Final placements typically start in late January or early February and continue until the end of March. The process usually takes about two to three months to complete. 2. Placement Success Rate: While most students do get placed, about 10-15% may remain unplaced during final placements. To assist those unplaced, the college offers additional workshops, personalized mentoring, and access to companies that may not participate in the main placement drive. 3. CTC Offered: Average CTC: Approximately ₹6-8 LPA. Highest CTC: Can reach up to ₹20 LPA, especially from leading consulting and tech firms. Lowest CTC: Some students may accept offers around ₹3-4 LPA, particularly in smaller companies or startups. 4. Preferred Companies: Most preferred companies include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and various consulting firms like Deloitte and Accenture. The average CTC from these companies typically ranges from ₹6-10 LPA. 5. Bulk Hiring Companies: Companies like Cognizant, TCS, and Wipro are known for bulk hiring. These companies generally offer average CTCs of around ₹6-8 LPA. 6. Role of the Placement Committee: The placement committee is responsible for coordinating the placement process, inviting companies, conducting mock interviews, and providing guidance to students. While the process is generally transparent, some students feel that it could be improved, particularly regarding information sharing about job roles and company profiles. Overall, transparency is moderate but could benefit from clearer communication.

As am from second year I don't know much about placements. about the placement committee they are not that active that you can rely on them for placements. mostly students build profiles on linkedin and stay updated with the recruitments going on. Also sessions and seminars are conducted for profile building that are good. As of 2023, highest package was of around 37 lacs and an average package of around 6 to 7 lacs. the specialisations offered with this course are HR, FINANCE AND MARKETING.

Placement Experience:

After the completion of final semester exams the final placement starts. It takes around a month for placement to officially get over. Around 10-15% students get final placement and the others don't. The college provides placement opportunity for many many years to ex students as well. The average ctc is around 3-4Lpa, the hightest is around 12Lpa and the lowest can go to 1-1.5 Lpa. Amazon, delloite etc are the most proffered ones don't know about their avg ctc. The placement committee has a strong role in guiding students and giving them opportunity in the placement drive of the college, it also provides many mock interview practices and expert counselling to know more about placements and yes the process is 100% transparent.
