Remarks

I applied to GGSIP University and filled the entrance exam CUET. One can get admission in Delhi University by giving the CUET exam. After giving cuet, we have to apply on the CSAS portal that is of Delhi University. It then conducts various rounds of admission process and students are allotted colleges according to their preference sheets and marks scored in CUET exam. In IP University I got rank 382(out of 15000) for BBA where I was given admission according to my preference, in VIPS college. Though I kept Delhi University as my first choice. And since BMS is a professional course I decided to take up this college, SRCASW( NIRF ranking 32) Also I wanted to stay in Delhi so didn't sign up for colleges in other states. The best college for BMS is considered to be Shaheed Sukhdev college of business students. It has a very high cut off and thus remains a Dream for many students. It also offers a course BBA(FIA) that is also provided by SRCASW. But since it's a women's college, it's not available to everyone.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

In a class there are 60 students and 3 years so what total of around 180 students in the course there are no boys College are talking about cultural diversity there are people from all over India like I have my friends that from Bihar Chhattisgarh and a few are from North East or mostly they are from nearby areas like Haryana takes place in the classroom teachers provide presentation and assignment that have to be done in groups also yes marks are given for class participation they are considered under continuous assessment fees students generally attend the classes for learning mostly people who live far and travel daily miss some classes.

Internships Opportunities

1

It's not a compulsion for students to get internships during summer mostly try getting internships on their own. The ones who are doing internships get minimum stipend. Also internship fair is conducted at the end of academic year by societies. About the placements, not much companies come to this college, most students get placements on their own merits via different sources. Some companies that the alumni work in include: adsrole , HCL tech, ICICI PRUDENTIAL, Intellipaat, Jaro education. We are taught building professional profiles since the first year and told to look for opportunities.

Placement Experience

1

As am from second year I don't know much about placements. about the placement committee they are not that active that you can rely on them for placements. mostly students build profiles on linkedin and stay updated with the recruitments going on. Also sessions and seminars are conducted for profile building that are good. As of 2023, highest package was of around 37 lacs and an average package of around 6 to 7 lacs. the specialisations offered with this course are HR, FINANCE AND MARKETING.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees I paid in 1st year was 23,000 Rupees. The fees I paid for the 2nd year is 25000 Rupees. This includes the tuition fee for the whole year. Also i have a friend who lived in hostel. She paid a lump sum of 1 lakh for the hostel that included mess charges. For those who travel daily for reaching college, they have to pay daily a sum of around 40 to 50 for e-rickshaw and also the metro fare that accounts for around 60- 100 per day( depends on where you are coming from). The tuition fee is far lower than the private colleges. Also if you are staying at a pg, the rent is somewhat around 10,000 including the meals prepared. Also college students often eat out so that's a trouble for your wallet ????. Also i don't have the knowledge about scholarships as I haven't gotten to know about any of those.

Campus Life

4

The ground is very large and a badminton court is also there all the equipments are present and auditorium and Library are also available books are easy exerciscible the library opens up at 9:30 and the college campus is around 9 acres distance from hostel to academic block is hardly 5 minutes walk while most of the students travel by the metro they travel daily and yeah we can Park our bikes too on the college campus. no relative cannot visit the campus for overnight stays. Other than cafeteria there is a market nearby where students go to eat and hangout togetheroverall campus life is nice after the classes people go hangout in the nearby market and our often seen in the cafeteria within the college spots to hangout include the swings , gym area and a painted wall that goes round. Outside the campus , Noida is the nearest place but has a variety of malls and cafes to go to also the locality is safe to rom outside the campus at night time IIDYRA Is the main cultural fest of Shahid Rajguru college that goes on for 2 days other than this various days like Diwali fest and departmental fest also go on major clubs and committees include mercurious club, enactus , inklings society etc.

Hostel Facilities

3

SRCASW is a girls college. It has only girls hostel. Hostel allocation is done through college website on first come first serve basis. It is available for first years only. A lumpsum of 1 lakh is the per year fee for a room in which 2 students reside. Extra charges for an AC room have to be given. Timing for hostel: girls cannot go out of the College after 7o clock. Strict records are maintained for everyone. Jf they are staying the night out, permission from parents is to be recieved prior. There's strict adherence to timings. Hostel has a mess at the ground floor. I have no idea about the food quality( I got to know these details from my friend) Yes the hostel is guarded. I think only 2 people were allotted a single room. I didn't live in a college hostel. About the facilities also, i actually have no idea. All I've heard was that there were no. Ac's though this year acs have been installed in some rooms. Yes they had wifi geyser almirah study table but were told to bring a mattress. Also common washrooms were there. It there are no hostels, people take up flats on rent or pg as well

Exam Structure

Admission to the colleges of Delhi University is via the CUET exam and then the CSAS portal. Cuet is the entrance examination conducted by NTA for undergraduate students. Usually, the CUET exams are conducted in June end and go on till 15 days( since theya re conducted all over India) . After the CUET results are declared, CSAS portal registration open up and the marks scored are connected with the student I'd, we get to know about the courses available and their cutoffs also the rankings in each course that we have attained. Afterwards a preference sheet is to be prepared and then the university allots colleges to students. It is conducted in 3 rounds and afterwards a spot round is also conducted. For getting BMS course in delhi University, the total score is 650 in CUET while one should have 350+ to get this course

Faculty

- I am student of BMS, so my course has much more Difficulty than courses like bcom. Students around 4 to 5 failed in 1st sem and 2nd sem - if I talk about good aspects, we not only have theory aspects, but also very much practical aspects Bad aspects- we have subjects like python which is bit confusing to have in management as a core -we have two exams every year, one at end of each sem in which we have 7 subjects each sem - almost 3 to 4 lectures are held every day and timings are from 830 to 130 -most of the teachers use the traditional method of teaching which is through books -i admire my economics faculty coz it has complete knowledge about subjects like microeconomics and macroeconomics - minimum attendance is 67 percent, if we don't fulfill it, we have to fill a bond.

There is no placements provided by the college. In 2021, it organised a placement for final year students but don't know the data of placement. It was conducted for Gitarattan public school placement. And everyone doesn't get placed. In 2024, no such things happens so I can say that no placement is provided there. *Attaching the photo of SEP as there is no Placements done.*

Placement Experience:

1. Placement Timeline: Final placements typically start in late January or early February and continue until the end of March. The process usually takes about two to three months to complete. 2. Placement Success Rate: While most students do get placed, about 10-15% may remain unplaced during final placements. To assist those unplaced, the college offers additional workshops, personalized mentoring, and access to companies that may not participate in the main placement drive. 3. CTC Offered: Average CTC: Approximately ₹6-8 LPA. Highest CTC: Can reach up to ₹20 LPA, especially from leading consulting and tech firms. Lowest CTC: Some students may accept offers around ₹3-4 LPA, particularly in smaller companies or startups. 4. Preferred Companies: Most preferred companies include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and various consulting firms like Deloitte and Accenture. The average CTC from these companies typically ranges from ₹6-10 LPA. 5. Bulk Hiring Companies: Companies like Cognizant, TCS, and Wipro are known for bulk hiring. These companies generally offer average CTCs of around ₹6-8 LPA. 6. Role of the Placement Committee: The placement committee is responsible for coordinating the placement process, inviting companies, conducting mock interviews, and providing guidance to students. While the process is generally transparent, some students feel that it could be improved, particularly regarding information sharing about job roles and company profiles. Overall, transparency is moderate but could benefit from clearer communication.

Final placements start around January or Feb, while in our last semester. The process is long and goes on till May. In the recent round more than 600 offers were made from companies. Not everyone gets placed around 40% students sit for placements and 70% of them gets placed. The college doesn't do anything extra to get them placed as max no. Of students go for MBA by giving cat exam Average ctc - 4.8 Lpa Highest ctc - 21.5 LPA Most preferred companies are Deloitte, EY, Bajaj Capital as they give good salary The placement comitee helps by telling them about other jobs. Overall students with better grades are given good offers

Placement Experience:

After the completion of final semester exams the final placement starts. It takes around a month for placement to officially get over. Around 10-15% students get final placement and the others don't. The college provides placement opportunity for many many years to ex students as well. The average ctc is around 3-4Lpa, the hightest is around 12Lpa and the lowest can go to 1-1.5 Lpa. Amazon, delloite etc are the most proffered ones don't know about their avg ctc. The placement committee has a strong role in guiding students and giving them opportunity in the placement drive of the college, it also provides many mock interview practices and expert counselling to know more about placements and yes the process is 100% transparent.
