Financial Times Global MBA Rankings 2023: In the 25th edition of the Financial Times Global MBA Rankings, USA business schools have achieved a significant milestone, with Columbia University in New York taking the top spot for the first time ever, further cementing the dominance of American institutions at the pinnacle of business education. Additionally, the Indian School of Business (ISB) has once again emerged as the top-ranked business school in India according to the recently released Financial Times (FT) Global MBA Rankings 2023, claiming the 39th spot globally and the 6th spot in Asia. Out of all business schools in India, ISB was the sole representative in the Top 50, demonstrating exceptional performance in key areas such as gender diversity, career growth, salary hikes, and alumni engagement.
Out of the top 100 business schools worldwide, the elite group of 18 that lead the way in the Financial Times Global MBA Rankings 2023 are largely dominated by American institutions, with 13 of them hailing from the USA, including popular business schools such as Stanford, Harvard, and Berkeley. The remaining top-tier business schools include INSEAD and HEC Paris, both located in France, Iese in Spain, SDA Bocconi in Italy, and the London Business School in the UK, showcasing the global diversity and excellence of these leading institutions.

One key factor behind the dominance of business schools in USA in the rankings is the assessment criteria, which places a heavy emphasis on outcomes such as MBA in USA salary levels and percentage increases three years after graduation. In fact, 12 out of the 14 highest-paying MBA programs in the world are based in the US, with Stanford University leading the pack with an impressive average weighted alumni salary of 248,670 USD (2.06 crore INR)
