There are three main reasons for choosing the Queen Mary University of London. The first is the ranking of the University, especially concerning LLM in Intellectual Property Law course. The second is the wide range of subjects it has to offer. The third is the experienced faculty from different sectors of IP Law.

Course Curriculum

10

The course curriculum is very good. There is a vast choice of subjects enabling students to opt for something that interests them and also chalk the career path they wish to follow. Concerning the assessment format, there are mainly three forms of assessment: take-home exam, a final exam or an essay (depends on the subject).

Fees

The fee structure is good. It depends on whether the person applying is a home student or an international student. If the fees are paid in full at the start of the year, the University offers a 1% discount. However, fees can be paid in two installments as well. It should be noted that there are no application fees. Other additional charges may be there if one opts for University accommodation.

Examination Structure

The assessment can be of three types, based on the choice of subject: a take-home exam, a final exam or an essay submission. The take-home exam consists of around 2-3 questions and must be completed within 24 hours. Final exams for both terms are held in April-May (supposedly will be changed next year). The topic of the essay submission depends solely on the subject teacher; it can be allotted by the teacher or chosen by the student.

Faculty

10

The faculty of the college is very good and experienced. The plus point concerning them is that many of them have been legal practitioners who have worked in their area of interest for a very long time; thus being able to provide a practical view of the subject. Almost all of the faculty members are well published, which is also beneficial.
