From delivering sustainable energy to shaping the future of our cities and ensuring equitable development, todayÕs global challenges require interdisciplinary solutions.

Science, engineering and technology will be key to solving the complex policy issues we face, and in turn policy will shape the pace and direction of innovation in areas of rapid and often disruptive change, such as:

  • - genomics
  • - big data
  • - satellites
  • - robotics
  • - energy storage
  • - 3D printing

Our MPA meets the demand for policy makers who can collaborate with a diverse range of expertise and harness science and technology innovation. Ê

Key challenges

The MPA will tackle a series of pressing questions for policy makers, such as:

  • - How do policy makers integrate learning from science and engineering with knowledge from other disciplines?
  • - Can we create regulatory structures that can keep up with the speed of engineering breakthroughs and new technology?

- What is the role of social media and digital communications in opening up both science and the policy processes to the wider public?

Our most flexible MPA in Science, Engineering and Public Policy blends coverage of core policy tools, regulation and analysis methods with a specialist focus on how innovations in science and technology can help policy makers toÊnavigate the challenges and opportunities of our rapidly changing world.

SEPP students take an additional elective in place of specialised content in the second term.Ê

Academic Requirements:

  • Applicants should hold a degree with a 2:1 standard from a recognized university
