Why study Law and European Legal Studies at University of Aberdeen?
A major factor in our quality is the calibre and enthusiasm of our staff, testing your mental agility with complex, realistic legal scenarios as you get to grips with criminal, public and private law, legal systems, contracts, human rights, and explore family law, the law of property, and legal aspects of the EU.
YouÕll also have lots of opportunity to hone your developing legal skills in student-led initiatives such as mock legal debating, our highly active Law Society, the studentsÕ journal in which your work may be published, and our community law clinic Ð the Aberdeen Law Project.
As with all our combined programmes, youÕll gain a thorough grounding in Scots Law, and will then add the career advantage of studying European law through spending the third year of your study in Europe through the Erasmus Exchange Programme in either Aarhus, Deusto, Helsinki, Leuven, Maastricht University or Vienna University of Economics and Business, with courses taught in English.
