The University of Birmingham offers a Bachelor of Music (B.Music) program for a duration of 3 years.

Music at Birmingham has evolved throughout the past century to give students unparalleled facilities, opportunities, and student experience blending tradition with a fearless exploration of contemporary developments.
A music degree will encompass musicology, performance, and composition, with opportunities to specialize in one of these disciplines. Besides, all undergraduate students receive a scholarship for lessons for up to two instruments (including voice) at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire or through the Centre for Early Music Performance and Research.
Students will have access to practice rooms, electro-acoustic music studios, and early instruments. University of Birmingham library resources include listening booths, extensive audio and text collections, as well as Special Collections, centered on Baroque music and 20th-century English music, including Elgar diaries, manuscript scores, and early editions.
By this program, this student experience is complemented by a diverse and eclectic array of music venues in the city of Birmingham, and music-making opportunities in abundance through our active Music Society, the university's largest and oldest society.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students must have a minimum GPA of 4.0
6,6,5 at Higher Level to include Mathematics with a minimum of 32 points overall.
A level Mathematics and at least one Physical Science. Students must also pass the practical element of any reformed science A levels which include Biology, Chemistry, and Physics taught from 2015, and typical offer AAB for the opted course.

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet following eligibility criteria:
- Indian Standard XII will be considered for entry to the first year of our undergraduate degree programs.
  - A*AA = 90% ISC, CBSE, Maharashtra or 85% West Bengal or 95% Other State boards
  - AAA = 85% ISC, CBSE, Maharashtra or 80% West Bengal or 90% Other State boards
  - AAB = 80% ISC, CBSE, Maharashtra or 75% West Bengal or 85% Other State boards
  - ABB/BBB = 75% ISC, CBSE, Maharashtra, and West Bengal or 80% Other State boards
- Where a program requires a specific A-level subject grade please refer to the guidance below for the Indian Standard XII equivalent.
