This program combines the latest in media, communications and audience theory, and research methodologies with the production and editorial skills that are required of the modern journalist. Students can apply their understanding of the role of the media in society to their own journalistic output. The Glasgow University Media Group comprises industry-trained program-makers and the program includes a practical element related to transferable skills for employability.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students should have a 2.1 Honours degree or non-UK equivalent in sociology, politics, economics, history, or related social science subject.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- The University of Glasgow will consider applications to Master's degrees from graduates of Indian central, state, or leading deemed and private universities.
- Applicants must have achieved a minimum cumulative 1st division or better across all years of their studies.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
